Vasiliy Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) returns to the ring against George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs) this Saturday, May 11. The bout will be for the IBF lightweight championship and is set to take place at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.

Live coverage of the fight begins at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN+, as Lomachenko-Kambosos ringwalks are expected for around midnight.

Lomachenko is a former three-division champion, capturing world titles in the featherweight, junior lightweight, and lightweight classes. The former Olympic gold medalist was a pound-for-pound giant in his prime. He reeled off three straight wins after a 2020 unified lightweight title defense loss to Teofimo Lopez. In his last bout, he fell short to Devin Haney by way of unanimous decision.

Kambosos is currently the IBO lightweight champion, previously holding the unified lightweight crown in 2021. After Lopez defeated Lomachenko, he was then upset by Kambosos. In Kambosos’ first unified title defense of the WBA, IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles he lost to Devin Haney. He subsequently would loss a rematch to Haney. Last July, he narrowly escaped Maxi Hughes, winning by a close majority decision.

Lomachenko comes into the bout as the favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook. He is a -700 favorite while Kambosos is a +475 underdog.

Round 1: Lomachenko 10-9

Lomachenko begins with a few faints. Kambosos patiently aiming to strike. Loma dodges a few hooks from Kambosos. Now he lines together a multi punch combination.

Round 2: Lomachenko 10-9 (Lomachenko 20-18)

Kambosos attempts a hook to Lomachenko’s body and misses. Loma steps forward and delivers a nice right hand. Lomachenko again with a right hook. Solid right to the body from Kambosos. Loma finishes with a one-two that tags Kambosos.

Lomachenko shoots a nice one-two combination. Kambosos eager to counter but misses. Loma with a nice left this time. Kambosos with a solid counter but Loma fires back a big left hand. More action closer to the bell. The two exchange as round comes to an end.

Round 4: Lomachenko 10-9 (Lomachenko 40-36)

Loma with a left hook on the money. Triple jab and a left again, this is some high skill from Loma. Third huge left hook and Kambosos is in some trouble. Double jab again. Sweeping right hook now from Lomachenko. This has been his round!

Round 6: Lomachenko 10-9 (Lomachenko 60-54)

Lomachenko getting any punch he wants. Straight jab from Loma. Kambosos finally connect on a solid left hook. Short left hand from Lomachenko. Kambosos urging Loma to come after him.
