Matsuyama ($9,600; 101 FPTS) was in excellent position after Thursday’s first round, shooting a 65, one shot off the lead. On Friday, he went eight-under once again and leads The Sentry by one stroke heading into the weekend.

It was a bogey-free round for Matsuyma, as he drained four birdies on the front and back nine. He had a three-birdie streak on Holes 4, 5 and 6.
In the $500K Pitch + Putt tournament, Matsuyama is rostered on only 8.59% of teams.
DK Sportsbook has Matsuyama as the favorite to win it all at +250.
Collin Morikawa ($10,100; 71.5 FPTS) made a late charge on Friday, and was the favorite to win it all at +200 with two holes left, but he is now +280 and is one stroke behind Matsuyama.
Morikawa had three birdies sandwiched around a bogey on the front nine. He went NBA Jam on the back nine, notching a birdie on the first hole, before running off a five-birdie streak on Holes 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17.
Thursday’s leader, Tom Hoge ($6,600; 80.5 FPTS), went five-under on Friday after going nine-under on Thursday. It was a blemish-free round with two birdies on the front nine and three birdies on the back nine.
DK Sportsbook has Hoge at +1800 to win it all, the sixth-lowest odds.
Xander Schauffele ($11,000; 34.5 FPTS) entered the tournament as the highest-priced and most-rostered golfer at 39.28%. He is currently T44, as he shot a 72 on Thursday and a 70 on Friday.
