I’m going to break down my first three pick for Celtics-Pacers Game 1 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

Boston Celtics vs. Indiana Pacers — Game 1

First Three: Jayson Tatum (+650)

Anytime you can get the best player in the series at the fifth-shortest odds to hit the first three of a game, it’s hard to pass up.

Tatum’s shooting struggles this postseason have been well-documented, but the volume is almost always there. Through 10 playoff matchups so far, the superstar has taken fewer than five threes just once, which was the Game 5 blowout against Miami in which he only attempted nine shots.

Tatum tends to be the more passive of the Jays to open games, letting Jaylen Brown get off to a hot start. However, that hasn’t been the case so far in these playoffs, as the 26-year-old is averaging 8.5 first-quarter points per game.

With his usage rate, Tatum is extremely enticing at +650 for this prop. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him take multiple threes in the opening minutes tonight.
