Montgomery suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday’s matchup with the Colts and the back is questionable to return to this contest. Montgomery didn’t have a jersey or helmet on when he went to the locker room, which certainly isn’t an encouraging sign.
Before exiting, Montgomery had rushed for 37 yards and touchdown on eight carries and he had caught all three of his targets for 36 yards (16.3 FPTS). In the $2.5 Million Fantasy Football Millionaire, Montgomery was rostered by 9.4% of the field.
The veteran has handled 47.7% of the Lions’ running back carries this season and if Montgomery is unable to return Sunday or if he misses any time going forward, Jahmyr Gibbs should flourish with a featured role.
