Jaron “Boots” Ennis headlines his second straight boxing event in his hometown of Philadelphia on Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center. Ennis is facing Karen Chukhadzhian for the second time. Ennis beat Chukhadzhian in January 2023 by a unanimous decision (120-108, 120-108, and 120-108).

In July, Ennis beat David Avanesyan by stoppage in the fifth round. Ennis out-landed Avanesyan 124-47 in power punches. That was Ennis’ first fight in his hometown since 2018. It was a success. Ennis headlined a title fight at the biggest arena in Philly. At 27 years old, the sky is the limit for Ennis. He is already among the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Since they last fought, Chukhadzhian has been 3-0, with two wins by knockout.

Superfights are on the horizon for “Boots.” Will he fight WBC champion Terrence Crawford? Before Ennis can get to that point, he needs to once again deliver an unforgettable performance in his hometown on Saturday night. Ennis is a massive -4000 favorite against Chukhadzhian on DraftKings Sportsbook. It is -550 for Ennis to win by knockout.

This card features another incredible champion: the WBC Super Flyweight Champion, Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez. He is defending his title against Pedro Guevara. Rodriguez is only 24 years old and is quickly becoming one of the greatest boxers in the world. He is 20-0 with 13 knockouts. “Bam” most recently knocked out Juan Francisco Estrada in the seventh round in June.

Now Rodriguez is up against 35-year-old veteran Guevara, who is 42-4-1 with 22 knockouts. Both fighters are the same height (5’4″), and each has a 67″ reach. Guevara is riding a two-fight win streak and recently beat Andrew Moloney by a split decision.

BoxRec has Ennis ranked No. 10 and Rodriguez No. 14 on their pound-for-pound list. Just like Ennis, Rodriguez is a huge -1800 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook. This card airs live on DAZN starting at 7:00 p.m. ET.
