We have a monster slate of NBA games on Wednesday, and plenty of betting angles I’m going after. I have a full article out with four bets from the Warriors vs. Celtics game, and then another four player props across the league that I’ve written up below. Here are my best bets:
Jalen Suggs 20+ Points (+105) – 1-unit
I’ve made a play on Suggs props on a few occasions since Paolo Banchero went down, and I’ll be going back to it tonight. Suggs is averaging exactly 20 points over his last six games, with one bad 10-point game really hurting his average. This will be a fast game against the Pacers, who struggle defending guards. Look for good chances to score in the open court for Suggs in this one, and attack downhill throughout the game. Suggs dropped 25 points on Indy last week, and that was in the same game that Banchero went off for 50 points.
Christian Braun OVER 13.5 Points (+100) – 1-unit
Denver goes into this one extremely short handed, as both Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon are out. Braun has done a good job stepping into Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s starting job this season, but now even more will be asked of him. Braun has gone over this mark in five of seven games this season, including three in a row. Even though the matchup is difficult against the Thunder, I think the volume should easily make up for it here.
Gradey Dick OVER 20.5 Points (-105) 1-unit
Dick is leading all second year players in the NBA in scoring on the young season at 21.6 points per game. Through two games this season, Dick was averaging just 12 PPG, but since then, he’s been on an absolute tear. The former Kansas Jayhawk has poured in 22 or more points in five of his last six games, averaging just shy of 25 per game in that span. With Scottie Barnes still sidelined for Toronto, look for Dick to continue to roll offensively.
Zion Williamson UNDER 27.5 Points (-115) 1-unit
I wrote this play up on Monday with Williamson under 28.5 points. After getting bet all the way down to 25.5, Zion was ruled out so the play was a void. Here was my analysis on Monday:
“Zion is coming off a season-high 34 points against the Pacers, but he’s been extremely tick-or-treat this season. He has another 31-point game in the mix, but is averaging just 21.4 points per game. Williamson has come up well short of this in three of his five games, scoring 16 points or less in each of the unders. Two of those games were against this very Portland team, which held Zion to a combined 30 points on 7-of-27 shooting in those two matchups. Too much respect here for Zion.”
The Pelicans might be shorthanded, but Zion is dinged up and in a very difficult matchup against a good Cavs team with size on Wednesday. Assuming he does indeed play, I expect Williamson to struggle in this matchup. There’s blowout potential here for Cleveland, too, which could mean getting benched late.
