Jeff’s Bet of the Day
Phoenix Suns -4.5 at Los Angeles Clippers (-108)
The Clippers are a James Harden injury away from being in the running for the worst record in the league. Kawhi Leonard is already out indefinitely, and the season hasn’t even started yet! I wrote up Clippers under 40.5 wins a few months ago, so you can read more about their anticipated woes here.
For this particular matchup, I simply think L.A. is outmatched. The Suns’ offense looked much improved in preseason compared to last year. Specifically, they’re shooting more threes, which was a necessary development after taking the sixth-fewest in the association last season.
A 35-year-old James Harden can only carry you so far. Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal should roll en route to a comfortable Suns win.
