Welcome to your one-stop shop for Week 6 fantasy football start/sit advice. In this article, I’ll highlight one pick from each of my positional start ’em, sit ’em articles for this week’s slate. Check out each article for a deeper dive into that position!
Quarterback
Start ‘Em: Daniel Jones (Giants) vs. Bengals
Don’t look now, but Daniel Jones is playing… competent football?!
Jokes aside, Jones has actually vastly exceeded expectations through five weeks. The 27-year-old has managed to score at least 18 fantasy points in three of his last four games, boasting a 6:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio over that span. Danny Dimes is coming off his best game of the year against Seattle in which he threw for two scores without Malik Nabers, adding 38 yards of his own on the ground.
This week, he draws a very favorable matchup against the Bengals, who allow the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks per game. I expect Jones to stay hot, especially if Nabers returns to action.

Running Back
Sit ‘Em: Rico Dowdle (Cowboys) vs. Lions
Dowdle is coming off his best game of the season, in which he racked up 114 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. So, why fade him?
Two words: Dan Campbell.
Well, actually, it’s the defensive unit Campbell coaches. The Lions are a force to be reckoned with on that side of the ball, allowing the fourth-fewest rushing yards per game and third-fewest fantasy points to opposing backs. That doesn’t bode well for Dowdle, who will need to make the most of his touches. While the 26-year-old saw 20 carries against the Steelers, he still hasn’t surpassed a 50% snap rate in a contest this season.
With game script likely working against him and the overall tough matchup, I would leave Dowdle on your bench after his big Week 5 outing.

Wide Receiver
Start ‘Em: Darnell Mooney (Falcons) at Panthers
It’s time to buy into the Mooney hype. After years of wondering if the guy was a good player who just consistently got overthrown by Justin Fields or an overrated vertical threat, we may have our answer just five games into his stint with Atlanta.
The 26-year-old has emerged as one of Kirk Cousins’ go-to-guys. After strong outings in Weeks 2 and 3, Mooney made a statement last Thursday, racking up nine catches on 16 (!!) targets for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
This week, he’ll take on a Panthers secondary that has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing receivers. I expect Mooney to stay hot.

Tight End
Sit ‘Em: Cole Kmet (Bears) vs. Jaguars
Kmet’s snap rate is up, but his production has tapered off since his Week 3 outburst.
The 25-year-old has been tasked with keeping Caleb Williams safe as a blocker more often than not this season, and that will likely remain the case until Chicago’s offensive line gets its act together. This week, the Bears take on the Jaguars, who are surprisingly stout against opposing tight ends. Jacksonville allows fewer than 10 points to the position on a weekly basis.
After seeing just seven targets across his last two games, Kmet is best left on your bench this week.
