Don’t look now, but there has been some movement in the 2024 Presidential Election odds.
Former President Trump now sits with -140 odds, while Vice President Kamala Harris is at +115.
The chart below tracks the odds movement to last year. Harris’ considerable odds at the start reflect her status at the time as the VP candidate on the ticket as opposed to now as the Democratic nominee for president. The two candidates shared -110 odds on Monday.
According to RealClear Politics, Harris has a slight edge at +2.0 in their current national polls average. It should be noted that on this date in the last two election cycles, President Biden was +10.0 over Trump (10/10/20) and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was +5.8 over Trump (10/10/16), according to RealClear Politics.
The election is shaping up to be close as the final weeks of the election dwindle before the election. According to NBC News, former President Trump will be hosting campaign events over the next month in Colorado, California, and New York, which are traditional blue states. He will be speaking to the Detroit Economic Club on Thursday. Harris, meanwhile, will be holding a rally tonight in Phoenix with President Obama hitting the campaign trail in Pittsburgh to help buoy the vice president. ABC News points out that Trump has outpaced Harris in campaign events recently, with the vice president attending to her current duties which included joining President Biden in briefings about Hurricane Milton this morning.
