Colorado hosts Kansas State in the biggest game of their season so far. Here is how to bet the game on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Colorado (+4) vs. Kansas State o/u 56.5

Colorado has had an impressive start to the season with their lone loss coming on the road against Nebraska. The defense has shown some signs of improvement from last season while Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter play at an incredibly high level. This team still has issues on the offensive line and in the secondary but they are more competitive than most people expected. However, Kansas State will be the best team they have faced this season.

It has been an up-and-down season for Kansas State so far. They barely scraped out a win over Tulane but then blew out Arizona and looked like the top team in the Big 12. The following week they went to BYU and were dominated and looked like frauds before then blowing out Oklahoma State in their last game. The Wildcats had a bye week to prepare for this pivotal game against Colorado that they need to win to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive.

Avery Johnson is a better runner than a passer at this point in his career. He proved against Oklahoma State that he can still attack a bad secondary. Kansas State has one of the best rushing offenses in the country when you factor in Johnson’s running threat at QB. They rank 14th in the country in EPA/rush heading into this game. They should find a good amount of offensive success against this Colorado defense that has some issues tackling.

While Colorado is improved this year, they needed a miraculous hail mary to send the game to overtime against Baylor. Their signature win over UCF looks less impressive as UCF got dominated by Florida last week as well. Colorado has faced one serious pass rush this year, against Nebraska, and their offense stalled out when Shedeur Sanders had no time to throw. Kansas State has some big bodies on the defensive line and they should get pressure on Sanders. Kansas State has some edges on both sides of the ball as well as on the sideline so I am going with the Wildcats to cover the spread.

Best Bet: Kansas State -4
