UFC 307 takes place from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Saturday night! Alex “Poatan” Pereira defends his UFC Light Heavyweight title against No. 8 Khalil Rountree Jr. Women’s Bantamweight champion Raquel Pennington renews an old rivalry against former champion No. 1 Julianna Pena in the Co-Main Event. The last PPV in Utah was UFC 291, and that event delivered an incredible head-kick knockout by Justin Gaethje over Dustin Poirier.
This Main Card is excellent, but the incredible action starts with the Early Prelims at 6:30 p.m. ET and the Prelims at 8:00 p.m. ET. No. 3 Kayla Harrison kicks off the Main Card on ESPN+ PPV against No. 2 Ketlen Vieira at 10:00 p.m. ET. Will Harrison submit herself as the next challenger at 135 pounds?

Alex Pereira More Than 104.5 Fantasy Points
Pereira is defending his Undisputed Light Heavyweight Title against No. 8 contender Khalil Rountree Jr. When this fight was announced, everyone thought Rountree was not worthy of a title shot, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a dangerous competitor. In his nine-fight UFC career, he is 8-1 with six knockout victories in the first or second round.
Although “Poatan” is an aggressive fighter, he lands punches quickly and has been a very productive fantasy scorer in his career. He has scored over 104.5 points in each of his previous two contests. Pereira has been unstoppable and doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon, so he will likely score over 104.5 fantasy points tomorrow night.
Julianna Pena Less Than 4:30 Control Time
Pena will face long-time rival Raquel Pennington for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title in the co-main event at UFC 307. Pena is making her return after being away for over two years due to injuries. She lost her title to Amanda Nunes in her last fight at UFC 277 and didn’t perform well.
Pena has found success on the ground, submitting her opponent in the past, but she has only had 25 seconds of control time in her last two fights. 4:30 is a lot of time to control “Rocky” on the ground as she can hold her own when the fight goes to the mat. The last time Pena hit this mark was against Germaine de Randamie in October 2020. Takedowns will have to be an essential ingredient for Pena to regain her title, but I also envision striking playing a significant role in this contest.
Jose Aldo More Than 53.5 Significant Strikes
The legend Aldo returned to the UFC after two years away in May at UFC 301 in Brazil. Aldo reminded everyone that although he is 38, he is still a highly skilled fighter. Aldo has won four of his last five fights, and his previous two losses came against current UFC Bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili and former champion Petr Yan.
Aldo defeated talented up-and-comer Jonathan Martinez by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, and 30-27). Martinez was riding a six-fight win streak before that fight as well. Aldo out-landed Martinez by 25 significant strikes while landing 77. Until Aldo shows that he is not an elite-level striker, backing him is a wise decision. Aldo is the underdog in this fight at +114 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Aldo is smaller in height (5’9″ vs. 5’7″) but has an inch larger reach (70″ vs. 69″). Aldo has a 60 percent defensive rate against opponents. Bautista has a bright future, but landing over 53.5 significant strikes should be no problem if Aldo pressures him early in the contest.
Kayla Harrison More Than 101.5 Fantasy Points
Since entering the UFC, Harrison has been the subject of enormous hype. This hype is all warranted because every time she is in the cage, she showcases why she has had so much success in combat sports.
In her first fight in the UFC, Harrison submitted former champion Holly Holm in the second round, resulting in 112.5 fantasy points. The sample size in the UFC is small, but Harrison is not new to MMA. She was a multiple-time champion in the PFL with a 17-1 record. Harrison has 13 total finishes and has a win by way of stoppage in three of her previous four wins.
Kevin Holland More Than 75.5 Fantasy Points
The second fight on this card features one of the most exciting fighters on the UFC roster. Expect the unexpected when Holland fights. He is known as an elite striker, but he has been improving his ground game and even submitted Michael Chiesa at UFC 291, the last time the UFC was in Utah.
Holland is a wildcard. He has had multiple first-round finishes lately, but his game plan is unknown before it starts. Holland’s last seven victories have all come by either submission or KO/TKO. Three of those seven fights have gone into at least the second round. Holland has the best chance of scoring over 75.5 fantasy points if the fight exceeds the first five minutes. In three of the last five contests Holland has fought in, he has scored 80 or more points.
Although Holland’s opponent, Roman Dolidze, has never been finished in his MMA career, if anyone can do it, it is him. Kevin Holland to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission is +250 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Joaquin Buckley More Than 85.5 Fantasy Points
One of the UFC’s biggest rising stars is Buckley. He is on a four-fight win streak with two fantastic knockouts. Vicente Luque is the most experienced fighter that Buckley has beat, but until now, he hasn’t been tested by a future Hall-of-Famer like Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. At the end of 2023, Thompson did get submitted by Shavkat Rakhmonov, but that does not mean he is done competing at a high level.
“Wonderboy” is still an incredible and unique striker using his karate technique. Buckley may have the power advantage on the feet, but Thompson is an all-around better stand-up fighter. Buckley is a better fighter on the ground than Thompson, and if he can get this fight to the ground, he will succeed. Buckley scored over 85.5 fantasy points in three of his previous four fights.
Buckey is the -225 favorite, while Thompson is +185 to pull off the upset at UFC 307.
