An incredible rookie season for Chicago Sky center Angel Reese is being cut short after suffering a wrist injury. The WNBA All-Star announced the news in a heartfelt message to her social media account.
The 22-year-old has been a rebounding machine since entering the league. Reese broke both the league’s consecutive double-double streak and Sylvia Fowles’ record for most boards in a game. Despite her personal success, the Sky have struggled mightily in recent weeks and are just 12-22 on the year.
As she alluded to at the end of her post, Reese still plans to suit up for Unrivaled, the new women’s three-on-three league debuting in January.
