Fast forward more than 30 years, and MLB has the modern-day version in the Bronx Bombers. Juan Soto ($6,500; 31 FPTS) entered Wednesday’s game with 35 home runs while Aaron Judge ($6,900; 32 FPTS) had 45. Both added to their totals and powered the Yankees to the 8-1 win.
Soto opened up the scoring with a two-run homer in the first inning. He later added a bases-clearing double in the fourth inning and finished the night with five RBI. He also scored twice and walked.
Judge hit a two-run shot in the third inning and then added a solo homer in the seventh. Judge finished with three RBI and also scored twice. Judge was +180 on DK Sportsbook to homer tonight.
Nestor Cortes ($8,900; 25.95 FPTS) was brilliant on the mound for New York, as he went seven innings without walking a batter or allowing an earned run on three hits. He also struck out four.
The only run Cleveland could muster was a solo home run in the eighth inning off the bat of Jhonkensy Noel ($3,500; 17 FPTS).
