Studs

Michael Morales ($9,500)

Morales is facing 11-year UFC veteran, No. 12 Neil Magny, in a three-round welterweight bout. Morales is 16-0 in his MMA career with 12 finishes. He is 4-0 in his UFC career, but this is without a doubt Morales’s toughest test yet. Morales hasn’t fought in over nine months since he defeated Jake Matthews by decision in November of 2023.

His opponent, Magny is a tough veteran who most recently knocked out Mike Malott at UFC 297 in January 2024. Although he hasn’t fought for a title in his UFC career, Magny has been a stable piece in this welterweight division.

Magny has a three-inch height advantage and an inch longer reach, but Morales lands nearly two more significant punches per minute than Magny. Morales has an incredible 91% takedown defense, while Magny’s is only 54%. If this fight stays on the feet, Morales will provide great value to your fantasy lineup.

Morales is a heavy -900 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook while Magny is the betting underdog at +600.

Caio Borralho ($8,600)

Borralho is one of the most exciting prospects in the UFC and is facing his most difficult opponent yet: Jared Cannonier. Borralho is 6-0 in the UFC with two finishes, but he has not stepped into the octagon with a fighter as well-rounded as Cannonier. Borralho has a two-inch advantage in height, but Cannonier has a 2.5-inch longer reach.

Cannonier is 2-2 in his past four fights and hasn’t looked like the fighter he was before he lost to then-middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. Cannonier is also 41 years old, nine years older than Borralho. Although Cannonier lands two more significant strikes per minute, Borralho has a 60 percent striking accuracy. Borralho also has an impressive 76% takedown defense while Cannonier only lands takedowns at a 46% rate.

Borralho is the favorite in this fight at -230 odds, while Cannonier is the +190 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. If Borralho can establish the pace early in the fight and not allow Cannonier to use his strength against him, he will likely get a finish in this fight.

Value Play

Dennis Buzukja ($7,400)

Buzukja was supposed to fight Danny Silva on Saturday night, but he had to withdraw due to an injury that took place in training. Buzukja has stayed on the card and will now take on Francis Marshall on short notice. Marshall is 7-2 in his MMA career, but 1-2 during his first three fights in the UFC.

Both fighters stand at 5’9″, but Marshall has a two-inch advantage in the reach department. Buzukja is the more efficient striker, landing 42% of his significant blows, while landing 4.16 punches per minute. Marshall only lands 3.66 per minute.

If this fight goes the distance, it favors Buzukja, and he”ll have a chance to out-perform his low price tag of $7,400. Buzukja has had a full training camp heading into this fight as Marshall was a late replacement.
