Sunday afternoon’s game got off to a rough start for the Red Sox when starting pitcher James Paxton ($6,900; 0.3 FPTS) left after throwing just five pitches. He pulled up with a strained calf while going to cover 1B on a ground ball in the first inning and was forced to leave the game. The Red Sox bullpen had already had a rough series and that continued Sunday, as they gave up 10 runs on 10 hits over the next 7 1/3 innings before position player Dominic Smith ($2,900; 3.0 FPTS) pitched a scoreless ninth to finish the day.

At the same time, the Red Sox couldn’t solve Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown ($9,000; 25.8 FPTS), who went 5 1/3 innings with nine strikeouts to claim his 10th win of the season. The offense came from Yordan Alvarez ($5,900; 23 FPTS), who stayed red hot with another home run in the highlight below. Alvarez was owned in 19.7% of lineups in Sunday afternoon’s $222K Bat Flip on DraftKings.

Alex Bregman ($4,700; 27 FPTS) and Jeremy Pena ($3,900; 31 FPTS) also went deep in the win, and the Astros finished with nine home runs in the series while outscoring the Red Sox by a combined score of 23-10.

In the AL West, the win moved the Astros 0.5 games ahead of the Mariners, who play on Sunday Night Baseball against the Mets. The Astros have now won five straight and are -165 to win the division and -225 to make the playoffs. After being swept at home, the Red Sox are now +170 to make the playoffs and three games out of the final Wild Card spot. gave the Astros a sweep in Boston Edward Cabrera ($6,600; 19.55 FPTS) was great for Miami on the mound, going seven innings, striking out four while walking three and not allowing an earned run on four hits.
