Arrighetti ($7,600; 31.3 FPTS) was one of the most popular plays for Sunday’s nine-game slate – rostered by 28.9% of the field in the $222K Bat Flip – and the pitcher lived up to the hype. In his six innings of action, Arrighetti struck out a season-high 12 batters and only allowed one run, which was a Brandon Lowe ($4,500; 10 FPTS) RBI-double in the top of the third inning. Unfortunately, that lone run was the only score of the entire contest and gave the Rays the 1-0 win over the Astros.
In addition to Lowe’s crucial double, Tyler Alexander ($7,400; 21.95 FPTS) was awesome out of the bullpen for Tampa Bay. After starter Hunter Bigge ($4,000; 1.7 FPTS) was pulled in the first inning, Alexander followed and struck out five batters and only gave up two hits in his 4 1/3 scoreless innings of work. Given he didn’t get the start, Alexander rightfully so basically went unowned, being rostered by only 0.13% of the field in the $222K Bat Flip.
The Rays have now won six of their last 10 games, but they still only sport +650 odds to make the playoffs on the DraftKings Sportsbook.
