What happened in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Episode 1
At the start of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, we quickly saw Dexter struggle to balance the two sides of his life: father and serial killer. Harrison invited his father to his NYPD police academy graduation, which Dexter had originally promised to attend. But then, Dexter went on a chase to find his old friend, Al Walker, also known as the serial killer, Rapunzel. With Dexter far away in Pennsylvania and being out late at night to kill Rapunzel, he didn’t get back to New York in time for Harrison’s graduation.
We saw Dexter struggle to get Walker on his kill table as he wasn’t able to insert his needle. Walker and Dexter began fighting, which made it hard for Dexter to follow his normal protocol. In a move of desperation, Dexter wrapped Walker around a chain, which killed him as it raised him in the air. Dexter got a trophy before leaving but didn’t cut Walker up, instead leaving him for everyone to see, making it look like a suicide.
One of Dexter’s former colleagues from his time in Miami, Joey Quinn, made an appearance in this episode to find out more about his friend Angel Batista’s death. In the opening episode, the New York Ripper and the Five Borough Killer were introduced to the audience, making them likely Dexter’s main targets this season.
What to expect in Season 2 Episode 2 of Dexter: Resurrection
The second episode of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is titled ‘Young Blood,’ and IMDb’s description states, “Navigating his mid-life crisis, Dexter finds no comfort as the Five Borough Killer captivates New York. Meanwhile, Harrison starts at NYPD Homicide.”
From that description, it seems the Five Borough Killer might be next on Dexter’s list. The season began with Dexter and Harrison on good terms, which has shifted after Dexter missed Harrison’s ceremony for the police department. We’ll likely see Dexter try to get back in Harrison’s good graces in the near future.
