Best NHL Anytime Goal Scorer Picks for November 3
Beckett Sennecke Anytime Goal Scorer (+155)
Kevin Lankinen is the expected starter between the pipes tonight for Vancouver after going 1-7-0 with an .812 SV% and 6.17 GAA. His -12.1 GSAx ranks dead last among 74 goalies, and his -3.07% SV% above expected is just one spot higher at 73rd. The Canucks have allowed a league-high 4.50 goals per game, and their 3.90 xGoals against per 60 are also the most in the NHL.
Sennecke leads the Ducks with eight goals, and four of them have come on the power play, which should line up quite well against a Vancouver penalty kill that ranks 30th at 66.7%. He’s a fixture on Anaheim’s top power-play unit, and one of those goals came against the Canucks on Oct. 27. He has scored in five of his past 10 outings overall, and no Duck has more goals above expected (2.5) or high-danger unblocked shot attempts (6).
Mark Stone Anytime Goal Scorer (+195)
Stone has scored a power-play goal in each of his past two games, including Monday’s 3-2 shootout loss in Boston, and his 10 goals lead the Golden Knights by three over Jack Eichel. He already found success against Pittsburgh, totaling one goal and two assists in a 6-2 win on Oct. 17. Stone plays on the top line alongside Eichel and Ivan Barbashev, a trio that has controlled 57.0% of the 5v5 xGoals and outscored opponents 9-4 in 168 minutes.
Vegas is on the second night of a back-to-back, but Pittsburgh has allowed 3.42 xGoals against per 60, the eighth-most in the NHL, and 48 high-danger shots, the second-most. Arturs Silovs will likely start for the Penguins, and he has been solid, ranking 18th in GSAx (+2.5) and 23rd in SV% above expected (+0.48%) among 74 goalies. This one leans more on Stone’s form and Pittsburgh’s leaky defense than on the goaltending matchup.
Jimmy Snuggerud Anytime Goal Scorer (+190)
The Rangers have lost four straight games and allowed 22 goals during that skid, including a 7-4 loss in Ottawa and a 6-3 home loss to Los Angeles. Their penalty kill ranks third at 89.1%, though, so it helps that five of Snuggerud’s team-leading eight goals have come at 5v5.
Snuggerud has scored in each of his past two outings and in six of his past 10 while logging 17:35 a night on St. Louis’ top line with Robert Thomas and Jake Neighbours. The Blues have scored 69.2% of the goals with him on the ice, which is a team high. He has finished 4.2 goals above his 3.8 xGoals, the biggest gap on the team, so some regression could be on its way, but New York’s recent slide makes +190 a solid value play tonight.
