Closing out the Week 6 NFL slate with a Monday Night Football matchup, the Washington Commanders will face the San Francisco 49ers.
Washington has limped to a 1-3-1 start and is looking to erase the memory of poor clock management that led to the tie against the Giants in its previous game. In contrast, San Francisco is off to an undefeated 5-0 start to the year and has looked like one of the clear best teams in football.
Looking at the odds, the 49ers enter as 7.5-point favorites with -395 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Commanders hold +310 odds to pull off the upset, with the game total set at 51.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved beyond just backing a side or total. Let’s take a look at my top three favorite player props for the Week 6 Monday Night Football matchup.
Commanders at 49ers NFL Player Prop Bets for Monday Night Football
Jayden Daniels Over 39.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
When he has been on the field, Jayden Daniels has been one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the NFL. However, the former Offensive Rookie of the Year was limited to seven games last season and has appeared in just three of Washington’s five games this year. Daniels suffered a dislocated left elbow in Week 2 but returned last week against the Giants, wearing a protective brace.
Across the three games he has been on the field, Daniels has tallied 459 passing yards and three touchdowns, adding 203 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has tallied rushing totals of 31, 69 and 103 yards on the ground through the opening three matchups. It took just nine rushing attempts for the LSU product to eclipse 100 yards against the Giants last week.
Expect Daniels to remain a major part of Washington’s rushing attack, especially given the state of the Commanders’ running back room. San Francisco has allowed 97.6 rushing yards per game this season, and Daniels presents a different challenge with his ability to create plays outside the pocket. Jacory Croskey-Merritt has been ruled out for Monday’s matchup with a groin injury, leaving Rachaad White and Austin Ekeler among the available options in the backfield. Daniels is recording 9.7 yards per carry this season and producing the second-best PFF rushing grade among quarterbacks.
Daniels oftentimes looks at his most comfortable when playing in ad-lib situations and escaping the pocket for scramble opportunities. The Commanders star sees a steady diet of rushing attempts during the typical flow of offense and is consistently a threat to take off for a massive gain when the opportunity presents itself during the flow of action. Daniels will surely be eager to make up for the frustrating ending to last week’s game and lean on his legs in the process. He has cleared this rushing line in two of the three games thus far, so expect 39.5 yards to be far too low based on Daniels’ skillset. He is capable of picking this up in just one rush attempt when the situation allows, and expect him to lean on his rushing abilities at a high rate tonight.
Mike Evans Over 63.5 Receiving Yards (-112)
After spending the first 12 years of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Mike Evans has continued to produce while suiting up for the San Francisco 49ers this season. Through his first five games with the franchise, Evans has caught 24 of his 34 targets for 326 receiving yards. He has continued to build chemistry with Brock Purdy and is coming off a seven-catch, 113-yard performance on 10 targets against the Seahawks last week, finding the end zone once.
Seattle has been one of the NFL’s strongest pass defenses this season, making Evans’ production in that matchup particularly encouraging. The defending champions currently lead the NFL in fewest passing yards allowed and rank first in net yards per pass attempt. Washington presents a more favorable opportunity on paper. The Commanders enter the night ranked dead last in points allowed, 23rd in total yards conceded and 29th in yards allowed through the air.
It is important to note that Evans is currently listed as questionable for tonight’s matchup. He is battling an injury to his ribs and soreness to his Achilles. Evans missed practice this week but was able to do some workouts on the side and there appears real optimism he will suit up. The 33-year-old has been battling the rib injury since Week 3, and he has not allowed it to slow him down on the field, even increasing his production since he first popped up on the injury report. Assuming he is able to suit up, don’t have any regression in expectations for the star wide receiver.
Christian McCaffrey has not quite performed to his sky-high standard in the early parts of this season, and San Francisco has been forced to embrace more of a pass-first identity. Purdy has answered the call, and Evans has been a major part of this effort. He currently leads the team in receptions, targets and receiving yards, proving to still have plenty left in the tank in his age-33 season. Evans has a monstrous catch radius, and Purdy has been willing to let him feast on balls up for grabs. The six-time Pro Bowler has recorded over 63.5 receiving yards in back-to-back weeks, and this will be the most vulnerable defensive matchup he has seen this season. It felt like last week was a major step in the right direction for Evans alongside Purdy, and expect them to build off this in the favorable defensive matchup tonight.
Brock Purdy Over 2.5 Passing Touchdowns (+130)
Speaking of the quarterback responsible for getting Evans the football, Purdy has been off to a stellar start and has been a driving force behind San Francisco’s undefeated record. Through the opening five games, the Iowa State product has completed 69.0% of his pass attempts this season for 1,196 passing yards, along with 13 touchdowns and two interceptions. Purdy leads the NFL in QBR, touchdown rate, passing success rate and sack percentage so far this season.
Purdy has thrown for at least two touchdowns in every game this season, and he has recorded over 2.5 passing scores against the Rams and the Cardinals. Washington enters this game having allowed an NFL-worst 14 touchdowns through the first five weeks and most recently was shredded for three second-half touchdowns by Jameis Winston. Sam Darnold and Dak Prescott also tallied four passing scores against Washington, while Jalen Hurts recorded three passing touchdowns in his matchup with the Commanders.
Purdy has been one of the league’s most productive quarterbacks to begin the season, and this is an appealing matchup for him to continue that success. He is averaging 28.4 pass attempts per game, and his NFL-leading touchdown percentage, as defined as the percentage of touchdowns thrown when attempting a pass, is especially encouraging. San Francisco ranks third in the league in scoring and will look to add to this against a Commanders defense that ranks last in the NFL in opponent points per game. Count on the former Mr. Irrelevant delivering again tonight and capitalize with the +130 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook.
