Michigan vs. Penn State Player Prop Best Bets
Jordan Marshall Anytime Touchdown (-110)
Michigan should run the ball early and often in this game. Bryce Underwood continues to underwhelm at quarterback. The Michigan passing game is virtually non-existent, but luckily the way to attack Penn State is on the ground anyways. Penn State ranks 18th in the nation in defensive EPA/pass, but 79th in defensive EPA/rush. In what should be a tight, lower-scoring game, Michigan will want to control things on the ground with Jordan Marshall, Savion Hiter and Bryce Underwood. However, when the Wolverines get down to the goal line, it should be Jordan Marshall getting the touches.
Marshall leads Michigan in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns this season. He has double-digit carries in every game this season, despite this being a backfield by committee. Marshall scored last week against Minnesota, and he has now scored in three of his past four games. He has a great chance to get into the end zone again in this matchup against a vulnerable Penn State run defense.
Chase Sowell 53+ Receiving Yards (-122)
It will be another game for Penn State without its star receiver Koby Howard. Howard was the player stretching the field over the first couple of weeks of the season for the Nittany Lions. That has turned Chase Sowell into the WR1 for Penn State over the past three weeks. Sowell is averaging 77.6 receiving yards per game over those three games. He has at least 70 receiving yards in each of those three games. Sowell had a season-high 95 receiving yards last week against USC and should carry that momentum into this game. The Michigan defense is tough to crack, but Rocco Becht will want to stretch the field to his new favorite target. Sowell should get over this number for the fourth straight game.
