Check out my best bet below for Douglas da Lapa vs. Davi Cabral at tonight’s edition of Dana White’s Contender Series.
Douglas da Lapa to Win by KO/TKO/DQ (-115)
Cabral began his professional MMA career in April 2024 and has since won his first seven fights, including six by knockout or submission. In 2026, Cabral is 2-0 and last beat Perry Stargel by split decision in July. Meanwhile, da Lapa has won five of his six fights by knockout, with his most recent two coming in top regional promotion, LFA. He beat Emerson Richard by second-round knockout in his last bout at LFA 234 in May.
In this bout, da Lapa is the favorite at -175, with Cabral as a +145 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 1.5 rounds, with the under at -140, and the over is +110. There is a big size difference in this fight as Da Lapa is seven inches taller (6’3″ vs. 5’8″) with a four-inch reach advantage (75″ vs. 71″).
With da Lapa being much bigger, he has the edge in this bout, as Cabral could struggle to close the distance. Cabral has two career submissions and will have the advantage on the ground, as da Lapa is primarily a striker. But since da Lapa has the physical advantage, he should be able to defend Cabral’s takedown attempts successfully. Five of da Lapa’s six MMA wins have come by knockout. He’s also scored a knockout in his previous three fights. I’m taking him to win by KO/TKO/DQ at -115.
