The third fight on tonight’s Dana White’s Contender Series is in the Welterweight division as Will Rentz faces Luis Francischinelli. Rentz is 8-2 with eight knockouts, while Francischinelli is 6-1 with six knockout wins. Tonight’s card begins at 7:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+ and takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Meta Apex.

Check out my best bet below for Will Rentz vs. Luis Francischinelli at tonight’s edition of Dana White’s Contender Series.

Luis Francischinelli to Win by KO/TKO/DQ (-185)

Together, both fighters have 17 professional MMA fights, with 16 ending by knockout or submission. With two extremely aggressive fighters, it would be shocking if they didn’t produce a memorable contest. All seven of Francischinelli’s MMA fights have been in LFA, a top-tier regional MMA promotion. Francischinelli suffered his first career loss to Jonathan Piersma at LFA 223 in November 2025. After that, Francischinelli got back on track with a second-round knockout against Travis Arrellano at LFA 232 in May. Rentz has won five consecutive bouts, with his last three coming in 2026. Currently, Rentz trains at Gracie PAC MMA, a gym in Tampa, Florida, run by UFC veteran Billy Quarantillo.

As you can see in the picture of them facing off, Francischinelli is the much bigger fighter. Francischinelli is six inches taller (6’6″ vs. 6’0″) and has a massive nine-inch reach advantage (80″ vs. 71″). If Francischinelli earns a contract, he would be the tallest Welterweight and third-tallest fighter in the UFC.

Francischinelli is the favorite at -245, while Rentz is a +200 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. This bout has an over/under of 1.5 rounds with the over at +240 and the under at -330. Although Rentz is on an excellent run, the size difference will be too much for him to overcome. Each time Rentz wants to initiate offense, he will have to expend so much energy that it will likely be too much to repeat throughout the bout. I foresee Francischinelli pressuring Rentz, cornering him against the cage while unloading plenty of big punches, giving him no chance to come back.
