Bears vs. Packers NFL Player Prop Bets for Week 5

By: Cooper Albers

Sunday afternoon’s loaded NFL Week 5 slate features an NFC North showdown between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET.

The Bears (3–1, 2nd NFC North) hit the road after last week’s 23–12 home victory over the New York Jets. The Packers (2–2, 3rd NFC North) return to Lambeau after their 17–14 win over the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay.

Chicago is a 1.5-point road favorite with -122 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. Green Bay is a +102 underdog, with the game total set at O/U 45.5 points.

Let’s dive into the top player prop bets for Sunday’s clash between the Bears and the Packers.

Bears vs. Packers NFL Player Prop Bets for Week 5

D’Andre Swift 20+ Rush Attempts (-114)

After getting benched for a costly third-quarter fumble in Week 4, D’Andre Swift looks poised to retake control of Chicago’s backfield on Sunday. Kyle Monangai — who dominated in Swift’s absence against the Jets — has been ruled out for Week 5 with a toe injury, giving Swift a clear runway to make up for his recent blunder.

Fumbles aside, the veteran running back has been pretty solid this season with 69 carries for 311 yards (4.5 YPC) and three touchdowns. Given the team’s shaky quarterback situation without star Caleb Williams, the Bears should continue pounding the ball — especially in this matchup. The Packers’ run defense has been dismal to start the season, ranking 30th in rush attempts (109), T-29th in rushing yards (455), and 31st in rush TDs (7) allowed to opposing RBs through four weeks.

Jordan Love Under 236.5 Pass Yards (-112)

Jordan Love’s passing output has been awfully volatile to start the year. Although the Packers quarterback has cleared 300 yards twice — highlighted by a 387-yard explosion in Week 1 against the Vikings — he has conversely fallen below 200 yards in half his matchups. Also hampered by a struggling offensive line, Love heads into Sunday afternoon with a career-low 56.5 percent completion rate and an 86.5 passer rating, 25th among starting QBs.

Things likely won’t get any easier in Week 5, as the Bears have been exceptional against the pass to start the year. Chicago has allowed the NFL’s fourth-lowest completion rate (58.6 percent) and third-fewest passing yards (776), while tying for the second-fewest opponent pass TDs (4). Aside from Bryce Young in Week 1, the Bears have allowed no more than 153 passing yards to an opposing QB — let alone 236.5.
