LSU faces Kentucky on Saturday 10/10/26 at 7pm ET. The spread on this game has bounced around throughout the week, but LSU is settling in as a 9.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook. The total has also been moving down throughout the week with some potential weather concerns, sitting at 50.5 on Saturday morning. Here’s my prediction and best bet for the matchup.

LSU vs. Kentucky prediction

After falling behind 17-0 on the road at South Carolina, Kentucky is riding the momentum of a comeback victory in overtime. The Wildcats went for two and the win, and converted to get their second SEC road win of the season. I’m expecting some of that momentum to carry into a huge Saturday night home game against LSU.

Kentucky is 4-1 on the season, with that lone loss coming to Alabama. However, the Wildcats had the Crimson Tide on the ropes before ‘Bama blew the game open in the second half. Remember, Kentucky drew a terrific home crowd for that one, and took a 17-13 lead into the locker room at halftime.

This will be LSU’s second road game of the season, and while it’s not quite the hype of the road trip to Ole Miss, it should be another hostile environment. It took the Tigers time to get going in their Saturday night showdown with the Rebels, trailing 24-7 at halftime.

I could see Lane Kiffin’s squad getting out to another sluggish start here against a Kentucky team riding high right now. The total has been dropping all week due to potential weather concerns, but there hasn’t been much of a shift to the underdog. Any weather would certainly favor the home dog in this situation. The Wildcats want to run behind that big offensive line to keep themselves in this game, and I believe that will be the game plan early.
