Top Sneaker Drop of October 2026: Air Jordan 4 x J Balvin Amazonas
I initially planned to talk about the Air Jordan 1 High OG Royal (releasing October 10) in this spot, but decided to go with the latest Jordan Brand collab with J Balvin instead.
The Royal AJ1s are more up my alley, but there’s no denying that the Air Jordan 4 has been a more popular model for the last several years than the Air Jordan 1. Nike has done so many colorways of the Air Jordan 1 over the last decade or so, it’s really kind of killed the demand for the product. On the other hand, according to StockX’s 2025 Big Facts report, the Air Jordan 4 was the most “favorited” model on the platform. The resale market also suggests stronger early demand for the J Balvin 4 — the Royal AJ1s have an average sales price of $213 on StockX, while the J Balvin 4s have an average sales price of $342.
Putting that data aside, SNKRS notes that J Balvin’s Air Jordan 4 “draws directly from his Colombian roots, translating the region’s extraordinary biodiversity into a rich palette,” also featuring a bilingual “Just Do It” lace dubraes and Jordan x J Balvin branding. This is J Balvin’s fourth collaboration with Jordan Brand, previously dropping his takes on the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2 and Air Jordan 3. This feels like the least colorful of J Balvin’s collabs with Jordan Brand, but the croc textured leather does add a unique design element.
