Escuza enters this fight on an unbelievable seven-fight first-round finish streak. After an 18-month hiatus, Escuza returned and scored a first-round knockout over Octavio Lopez. His previous five victories have come by knockout. Borando is another impressive prospect with a ton of power as he’s on a five-fight winning streak, all by knockout. His last eight fights have taken place in the well-known European promotion Cage Warriors.
In this contest, Borando and Escuza are both -110 to win this fight on DraftKings Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 1.5 rounds, with the under at -195 and the over at +150. Borando is +165 to win by KO/TKO/DQ, while Escuza is +180 to score a knockout. Borando is two inches taller than Escuza in this contest (5’10” vs. 5’8″).
With two powerful strikers with knockout power, I don’t expect this fight to last long. I think they’ll come out super aggressive, with Borando and Escuza trading significant punches before someone scores a finish. Two of Borando’s previous three wins have come in the first round, and Escuza has never entered the second round in his career. That said, my favorite play is taking Round 1 as the winning round for this fight at -125.
