DWCS is coming off one of the best weeks in the show’s history, as six fighters received UFC contracts, including two who suffered a loss.
Week 8 of DWCS Season 10 is headlined by a three-round Lightweight contest between Loai Abushaar vs. George Staines. Staines is an undefeated prospect with an 8-0 record and trains at Next Generation MMA Liverpool, the home of No. 5 UFC Lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett. Meanwhile, Abushaar, 30, is 7-1 with four knockouts and three submissions and has only been past the first round once. This card was originally slated to open with a Featherweight bout between Ilias Bulaid and Erick Visconde. But the bout has been moved to Week 10 of DWCS because of Bulaid’s illness. Tonight’s DWCS card will now feature four fights instead of the usual five.

Escuza started this fight super aggressive, unloading strikes and eventually scored the finish. After the fight, they reviewed Escuza’s knee on Borando since he was on the ground. They still gave Escuza the victory.
