Sunday of Week 3 featured several high-scoring contests with fantasy football goodness available all over the exciting and dramatic slate. In the featured NFL $2.75M FANTASY FOOTBALL MILLIONAIRE [$1M TO 1ST], an entry from 180DegreesMiami finished at the top of the leaderboard with a total of 239.8 FPTS, which was more than six points more than the rest of the 161,764 entries in the contest. The winning entry included some nice low-ownership leverage plays from the Jets along with just the right stars who had big games.

Jets Fly High Despite Loss
Week 2’s winning entry skipped the early games and relied on a few big late games, while this week’s entry was locked in on a few of the nine games that kicked off the slate at 1:00 p.m. ET. The entry was anchored by a three-player stack from the Jets, who were in a favorable matchup against the struggling Lions secondary. Despite the matchup, the Jets’ trio came with low ownership.
Geno Smith (30.04 FPTS) was the third-highest-scoring QB on the slate, posting over 30 FPTS on 321 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, and 12 rushing yards. He led the Jets to 24 points on the road despite being without his second receiver, Adonai Mitchell (finger), and losing starting RB Breece Hall (8.5 FPTS) in the fourth quarter.
Smith threw his first touchdown of the day to Kenyon Sadiq (26.5 FPTS), who was the No. 2 TE on the slate behind only Brock Bowers (30.6 FPTS),who went off in his return. Sadiq had a breakout game with seven catches on eight targets for 105 yards and a touchdown.
I highlighted Sadiq before the game in my TE sleepers for the week, since Mason Taylor (thumb) was out, and highlighted him again after the game as one of the top options from the waiver wire for Week 4. The top tight end taken in the NFL Draft looks ready to make a major impact for the Jets going forward, especially with a strong connection now with Geno Smith.
Smith threw another touchdown late to Garrett Wilson (29.7 FPTS), who had 10 catches for 107 yards and a touchdown before leaving with a potential injury. Wilson was a popular play with a 27.9% ownership, but both Smith (7.5%) and Sadiq (6.0%) had low ownerships which helped push 180DegreesMiami to the top of the leaderboard.
On the other side of that same matchup in the Motor City, the top entry included a pair of Lions in Jahmyr Gibbs (41.4 FPTS) and Jameson Williams (8.0 FPTS). While Williams was a disappointment with only four catches for 49 yards, Gibbs went off with the highest score of the day. He had three total touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) and had seven catches for 65 yards in addition to his 99 rushing yards. One more rushing yard would have given him an additional bonus of 3 FPTS, but he dominated even without that bonus, with only two other players finishing the slate with 30+ FPTS and no other player reaching the plateau of 40+ FPTS.
Gibbs was a popular play, securing a spot in 26.8% of entries, but since he finished so far out in front of the field, he was a must-own in most of the top entries.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (38.36 FPTS) was the only player to come close to matching Gibbs’ total, and the top entry from 180DegreesMiami included the Seahawks star receiver alongside Wilson and Williams at receiver.
A change at QB from Drew Lock to Sam Darnold (32.66 FPTS) didn’t slow down JSN at all, and even though the Seahawks lost, Smith-Njigba racked up 10 catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw for 14 passing yards against the Commanders.
Smith-Njigba’s start has been incredibly impressive and consistent. He has at least eight catches and over 120 receiving yards in each of his three games. He’s on pace for a ridiculous 147 catches for 2,295 receiving yards and 34 touchdowns. If he stays healthy, almost every season-long record is in play for him after his red-hot start.
In another high-scoring early game, the entry from 180DegreesMiami included Jaylen Warren (23.6 FPTS) of the Steelers in their divisional matchup against the Bengals. Even though Warren didn’t get into the end zone in the Steelers’ 30-27 win, he carried a heavy workload with Rico Dowdle (toe) sidelined, racking up 127 rushing yards on 17 carries and adding three catches for 49 more yards.
Late-Game Hammers
After that very strong start to the slate, 180DegreesMiami had the FLEX and DST spots in the entry remaining from the four late games.
In the FLEX spot, the entry opted to go with a second tight end, adding Juwan Johnson (24.3 FPTS) of the Saints alongside Sadiq. Johnson was only owned in 5.9% of entries in the Millionaire Maker as his Saints hosted the Raiders for their home opener.
Johnson finished with the fourth-best total of all the tight ends on the slate, scoring a pair of touchdowns and hauling in all eight of his targets for a total of 53 yards and over 25 FPTS.
He did have a costly fumble late in the game, but he had already had a huge fantasy game at that point.
On the defensive side of the ball, 180DegreesMiami went with the Vikings DST (17 FPTS), who had a monster game against Baker Mayfield (13.28 FPTS) and the Bucs. The Vikings defense only gave up 16 points in Tampa Bay and racked up six sacks to go with a pair of interceptions and a defensive touchdown on Myles Price’s punt return.
The Vikings have been a big-play defense in all three of their games this year and are an impressive 3-0 to start the year as they host the struggling Dolphins next week. They only had a 6.6% ownership this week, but they’re definitely a top unit to consider going forward, with Brian Flores coaching them up and playing aggressively to create maximum mayhem.
The Bottom Line
This top entry from 180DegreesMiami in Week 3 leaned into the Jets’ matchup against the Lions and got great leverage from the three members of Gang Green. Juwan Johnson and the Vikings DST were key leverage plays as well. Playing two tight ends with multiple touchdowns at affordable salaries allowed the entry to include superstars JSN and Jahmyr Gibbs, who also went off for monster games.
Looking ahead to Week 4, the first of the NFL London Games gets Sunday’s action off to an early start, but the main slate kicks off once again at 1:00 p.m. ET.
