Saturday night, the UFC is back at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas to host a Fight Night event! A Bantamweight matchup between No. 12 Raul Rosas Jr. vs. No. 13 Raoni Barcelos headlines this card. This event has a top-five Women’s Bantamweight matchup as No. 4 Norma Dumont takes on No. 5 Ailin Perez.
Check out my best bets and full breakdown below ahead of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night event.
Best Bets for UFC Fight Night: Rosas Jr. vs. Barcelos
- Rosas Jr. vs. Barcelos Exact Method of Victory: Decision (-125): Even though Raul Rosas Jr. and Raoni Barcelos have shown finishing ability in their careers, their contrasting styles could make for a long fight. Rosas and Barcelos have both won their last three fights by decision.
- Ailin Perez Moneyline (-155): Although Norma Dumont has a good resume, she lacks momentum, which Ailin Perez has entering this contest. Perez’s versatility gives her the edge, as she does a good job using all areas of her game.
- Montel Jackson to Win by Decision (+150): After coming up short twice, Montel Jackson has an excellent opportunity to get back on track against Ricky Simon. Jackson’s defense and accuracy are the biggest difference makers in this fight. Jackson has eight career knockouts but has won three of his last five fights by decision.
UFC Fight Night: Rosas Jr. vs. Barcelos Best Bets Breakdown
Rosas Jr. vs. Barcelos Exact Method of Victory: Decision (-125)
Rosas Jr. and Barcelos are both on a five-fight winning streak but are at very different points in their careers, with an 18-year age gap. In 2022, Rosas Jr. made his UFC debut at 18 and has since gone 6-1 in the promotion. Barcelos has flown under the radar at 135 pounds even after picking up victories over Payton Talbott, Cody Garbrandt, Ricky Simon, and Montel Jackson.
In this fight, the fighters are opposites: Barcelos is good on the feet, while Rosas excels on the ground. Barcelos averages 4.65 significant strikes per minute with a 51 percent striking accuracy and 60 percent defensive rate. All three of those statistics are better then Rosas’. But on the ground, Rosas has the advantage, where he lands 3.59 more takedowns with a 54 percent takedown accuracy.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Rosas is the favorite at -155 with Barcelos at +130. This is an extremely close matchup, but I am most confident in one thing. The contest will end by decision because Rosas’ last three and five of his previous eight fights have gone to a decision. Also, Barcelos’ last four contests have gone to the judges’ scorecards, and 10 of his past 12 have ended by decision.
Ailin Perez Moneyline (-155)
The co-main event of Saturday’s Fight Night is a high-stakes Women’s Bantamweight fight between No. 4 Norma Dumont vs. No. 5 Ailin Perez. Dumont has won six of her previous seven bouts but is coming off a loss to Joselyne Edwards, while Perez enters this contest on a six-fight winning streak. Perez beat Macy Chiasson in her previous bout in February and hasn’t suffered a loss since September 2022, which was her first UFC fight.
Dumont has the physical advantages in this fight: she is two inches taller (5’7″ vs. 5’5″) and has a one-inch reach advantage (57″ vs. 66″). On the feet, it is close: Dumont averages 0.97 more significant strikes per minute, but Perez has better striking accuracy (56% vs. 50%) and absorbs fewer strikes (1.58 vs. 2.33). Although Dumont has a 71 percent takedown defense, Perez is better offensively on the ground as he lands 3.47 more takedowns per 15 minutes.
Perez has the more complete all-around skill set than Dumont in this fight. If Perez can display her elite defense on the feet while mixing in takedowns throughout the contest, she should have a good chance to pick up the victory. You can get Perez at -155 to win this fight while Dumont is the underdog at +130.
Montel Jackson to Win by Decision (+150)
Two veteran Bantamweights, Montel Jackson and Ricky Simon, will face off on the Prelims of this card. After winning six consecutive fights from March 2021 to May 2025, Jackson went on a six-fight winning streak. But he is now searching for his first victory in 16 months after suffering back-to-back split decision losses. On the other hand, Simon is coming off a draw with Adrian Yanez and is 2-4-1 since 2023.
Simon has the slight edge in significant strikes per minute (3.03 vs. 3.02). Still, Jackson has the better striking accuracy (52% vs. 42%) while absorbing fewer significant strikes (1.40 vs. 3.90). Jackson has a 67 percent takedown defense. He should be able to keep this a striking matchup more often.
If so, it should favor Jackson, especially with his four-inch height (5’10” vs. 5’6″) and six-inch reach (75″ vs. 69″) advantage. Three of Jackson’s last five wins have come by decision, and five of his previous eight victories have come on the judges’ scorecards. My favorite play in this contest is taking Jackson to win by decision, which is +150 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
