Best NFL Player Prop Bets for Week 2

Week 2 of the NFL is full of great matchups. The player prop market is full of different ways to get in on the action.

Without further ado, here are three of the best player props for NFL Week 2, including plays for Baker Mayfield, Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb.

Buccaneers vs. Browns: Baker Mayfield 2+ Passing Touchdowns (-115)

Baker Mayfield played well in his first game since signing his big new contract with the Buccaneers. He was efficient through the air and should be even better this week. The Buccaneers are back in Tampa for their first home game of the season. They face a Browns team that looked horrific last week in Jacksonville. Cleveland ranks 30th in the NFL in defensive EPA/play after getting carved up by the Jaguars. This Cleveland defense has traditionally not been as good on the road as they have been at home, and that weakness has been exacerbated by the loss of Myles Garrett.

Last week, Trevor Lawrence threw four touchdowns against this Browns defense. Baker Mayfield should be able to put together a similar performance and throw for at least two scores. Mayfield ranks second behind only Jared Goff in passing touchdowns since the start of the 2023 season. He should take advantage of this matchup against the defense that ranked 31st in the NFL in defensive passing success rate last week.

Vikings at Bears: Justin Jefferson Anytime TD (-120)

Justin Jefferson does not care who his quarterback is. He will go off against any defense with anyone throwing to him. Carson Wentz ended up playing almost the entire game last week for the Vikings and is expected to start this week as well. Wentz is not a great quarterback, but the veteran understands it’s in his best interest to get the ball to Jefferson whenever possible. Jefferson ended up with eight catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns last week. The superstar receiver should find the end zone again in this matchup.

Things could be tough for the Vikings in this game defensively, but the Bears’ defense has real issues. Chicago ranked 22nd in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback last week. Even with Carson Wentz at quarterback, the Vikings should be able to move the ball through the air against the Bears. The Bears have nobody that can stop Jefferson. Last season, he scored a touchdown at Soldier Field against the Bears. He should do so again in this matchup against a poor pass defense.

Cowboys vs. Commanders: CeeDee Lamb Longest Reception Over 26.6 Yards

CeeDee Lamb should have a bounce-back performance in Week 2 after some Week 1 struggles. Dallas moved the ball efficiently through the air, ranking fifth in the NFL in EPA/dropback. That is despite relatively quiet games from their star receivers, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Lamb was the better of the two but still finished with just 44 yards, although he did find the end zone. This is a second straight advantageous matchup for the Cowboys’ offense against a vulnerable Washington secondary.

Last season, Washington ranked 31st in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback. The Eagles didn’t really test them last week, but they should struggle against the pass again this season. The Dallas offense at home has been remarkable over the past few seasons. Dak Prescott should be able to shred this Washington secondary and look to his two elite targets. Since 2022, the Cowboys have averaged 28.5 points per game and 276.3 passing yards per game at home.

In 2025, CeeDee Lamb had nine catches for 112 yards at home against the Giants. That included a 33-yard catch for his longest reception of the day. In fact, in seven home games last season, Lamb had a catch of at least 30 yards in six of those games. He should be able to clear this longest reception mark this week against the Giants.
