It can be really hard to find some NFL DFS value picks you like in the second week of the regular season.

Not only is there just one game’s worth of data to base your projections off, but to be honest, there hasn’t yet been enough injuries to create some obviously paths to saving salary.

That’s why I’m here. Let’s dive into this 13-game slate on DraftKings and save you some scratch.

NFL DFS Value Picks: Best Cheap DraftKings Plays for Sunday in Week 2

QB Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers vs. Browns, $5,600

Did Mayfield have a poor real-life showing in Week 1? A thousand times yes. However, fantasy football is sometimes more about process than results. While it’s not easy to brush away three lost fumbles, the perspective of his performance against the Bengals entirely changes when you remove those mistakes. This is a guy who led the league in adjusted completion rate (92.6%) last Sunday, while also showcasing dual-threat ability as a scrambler, finishing with five carries for 30 yards and a touchdown. I promise you, Mayfield isn’t going to fumble three times every week, and when that’s cleaned up, his ceiling is quite high — especially in a matchup with the Browns, who were torched for 10.2 yards per opponent pass attempt versus the Jaguars.

RB Chuba Hubbard, Panthers at Falcons, $5,800

Everyone and their mother is going to be rostering Aaron Jones ($5,100) this week with Jordan Mason (thumb) placed on the IL, so allow me to suggest an alternative in a similar price tier. Hubbard registered 23.7 FPTS in Week 1’s loss to the Bears, and while much of that was touchdown dependent, I loved what I saw from the veteran’s role. Hubbard was clearly the “bell cow” on this Carolina squad, finishing the contest with 48 offensive snaps to just 13 for Jonathon Brooks ($4,800). That only translated into 10 carries in a game with a very lopsided second-half, but Hubbard also ran 25 routes to Brooks’ five. That, my friends, is how you become script-proof. The Panthers should be in a more advantageous spot to run the ball this Sunday versus the Falcons, who will still be starting Cooper Rush ($4,200). I would expect Hubbard to flirt with 20 touches quite easily.

WR Matthew Golden, Packers at Jets, $4,700

I’m buying the sophomore hype on Golden after Week 1. I’m not sure if Jordan Love ($5,900) is going to be dropping back to pass 46 times per game all season long, but it’s very obvious that Golden is going to have a larger and more consistent role in 2026. The former first-round pick led the Packers with 12 targets in their loss against the Vikings, converting those opportunities into six receptions and 95 yards. However, Golden was also targeted on a jaw-dropping 27.9% of his routes run (43). If he’s able to maintain anything close to that rate going forward, he’s going to be a breakout star. On top of all that, in general, I think Green Bay will have an easier time moving the ball and scoring points in a meeting with the Jets.
