The Saints are visiting the Lions for a Week 1 matchup Sunday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Detroit is favored by seven points and this game carries a total of 49.5 points. For a full breakdown of the matchup, check out our Saints vs. Lions prediction and pick.

Below, I break down my favorite Chris Olave prop bet for Sunday’s matchup, focusing on his receiving yards line against Detroit.

Chris Olave Receiving Yards Prop Bet at Lions

Chris Olave O 76.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Olave and quarterback Tyler Shough’s chemistry was undeniable for the Saints to close out last season. In their final three games, Olave finished with 85, 148 and 119 yards.

During this impressive run, Olave led the Saints with a mammoth 35.1% target share and an elite 3.66 YPPR, both of which ranked top-five in the NFL during this span. Olave averaged a strong 13.3 aDOT and he racked up 10 targets over 20 yards in these three contests.

Now, Olave should hit the ground running and start the new season with a strong performance vs. the Lions. First-round pick Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) is out and Alvin Kamara (questionable, knee) isn’t expected to play, guaranteeing Olave a huge target share.

This is also a very appealing matchup. Detroit gave up the eighth-most yards to receivers last season (2,644) and both the Lions and Saints ranked top-seven in pace. This game’s 49.5-point total on DraftKings Sportsbook is the second-highest of Sunday’s slate and Shough is going to be forced to air it out with New Orleans being a seven-point road underdog.

This game has shootout written all over it and Olave should cruise past 76.5 receiving yards in this environment.
