The Seahawks are hosting the Patriots for a Super Bowl LX rematch on Wednesday night to kick off the 2026 NFL season. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Seattle is favored by three points and this game carries a total of 44.5 points. For a full breakdown of the matchup, check out our Seahawks vs. Patriots prediction and pick.

Below, I break down my favorite Jaxon Smith-Njigba prop bet for Wednesday nightโ€™s matchup, focusing on his receiving yards line against New England.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Receiving Yards Prop Bet vs. Patriots

Jaxon Smith-Njigba U 15.5 First Quarter Receiving Yards (-118)

Smith-Njigba is the reigning Offensive Player of the Year after leading the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards last season. The wideout, however, hit a wall when he faced Christian Gonzalez and the Patriots’ defense in the Super Bowl.

Smith-Njigba caught just four of his 10 targets for 27 yards, despite the Sam Darnold throwing the ball 38 times, which was his second-most attempts of the season. Darnold also had major issues in this matchup, completing just 50% of his attempts.

Darnold targeted Smith-Njigba four times in the first quarter, but this duo didn’t connect once in that opening frame. While Smith-Njigba had a terrific regular season, he was up-and-down in the playoffs, producing 19, 153 and 27 receiving yards, and falling short of 15.5 first quarter receiving yards in two of these three games.

Make no mistake, Smith-Njigba is one of the best receivers in the league, who saw a target on 31% of his routes last season, but him getting off to another quiet start vs. the Patriots on Wednesday night definitely could happen.

New England’s defense was outstanding against the pass last season, giving up the fourth-fewest yards per attempt (5.8) and backing Smith-Njigba for under 15.5 first quarter receiving yards makes sense in this spot.
