BREAK IT DOWN:
(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Pete Crow-Armstrong 1+ Home Run (+343)
The public is joining my colleague Garion Thorne in his pick of Pete Crow-Armstrong in Arizona this Monday night. It’s easy to see why with juicy odds over +300 and a favorable matchup against the struggling Merrill Kelly. Kelly has a 5.37 ERA, which is bad enough, but his xERA of 7.25 shows he’s giving up even harder contact than his ERA indicates. Lefties have hit 18 of the 26 homers Kelly has allowed this year, and they have a .424 wOBA and 17.3% barrel rate against him at Chase Field. PCA comes into the matchup in excellent form, smashing six homers in his last seven games to get to 33 on the season. He has an 18.2% barrel rate over that seven-game span and is crushing everything he sees, making him a great option at this price on Monday.
Munetaka Murakami 1+ Home Run (+313)
Another popular lefty home run hitter this Monday is White Sox 1B Munetaka Murakami. Murakami and the White Sox are home at Rate Field against Kumar Rocker and the Rangers. Murakami hasn’t homered yet during the team’s four-game homestand, but he has nine homers in his last 27 games and five homers in his last 16 games. The public thinks Murakami is due for a homer coming into this matchup against Rocker, who has allowed 11 home runs and a 46.3% hard-hit rate to lefties this season. Murakami has an impressive 20.5% barrel rate since the All-Star break, and he also comes with odds over +300, making him a solid play Monday night.
Junior Caminero 1+ Home Run (+309)
Caminero and the Rays take on the Tigers and Framber Valdez in one of the early games on Monday night. Caminero has 35 homers on the season, trailing only Kyle Schwarber, Matt Olson and Yordan Alvarez. Caminero hasn’t homered in 11 games, so he’s another slugger the public thinks is due to go yard. He still has a solid hard-hit rate at 43.2% during those 11 games, and he seems to be finding his groove again after multiple hard-hit balls in four straight gams and five of his last six. On the season, Caminero has a .402 xwOBA against lefties like Valdez, with a .348 batting average and .420 wOBA against lefties on the road. Valdez has allowed 13 homers this season, with 11 hit by righties like Caminero. With the splits in his favor and plenty of power potential, Caminero is another solid +300 play that has the public’s attention on Monday night, making the three most popular plays into a juicy parlay you can see below.
3-Pick Same Game Parlay
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same-game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
