With fantasy football draft season already underway for some leagues, I ran a 12-team PPR mock draft to see what a roster could look like when selecting from the No. 2 pick position.
Picking near the top of a snake draft this year creates an interesting challenge. Here’s a round-by-round look at my 12-team PPR fantasy football mock draft, including full draft results and how the final roster came together.
Fantasy Football Mock Draft Results: 12-Team PPR
Round 1, Pick 2: Bijan Robinson, RB, Atlanta Falcons
Other top players available: Christian McCaffrey, Puka Nacua, Ja’Marr Chase
Sit back, kick your feet up and take whoever the first overall pick doesn’t select between Jahmyr Gibbs and Robinson. Bijan is primed to handle well more than 350 touches for the third consecutive campaign in 2026. He’s arguably the most talented back in football, and will certainly be a top three RB barring injury.

I don’t typically chase Allen this early in drafts, but there’s something appealing about going all-in on assembling a roster built around the best players at multiple positions. The 2024 MVP and Robinson should give you a floor of 40-50 points weekly, allowing you to take upside shots with other positions.

Round 3, Pick 26: Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans
Other top players available: Malik Nabers, Jeremiyah Love, Rashee Rice
As someone who attempts to hold at least one Nico Collins share annually, you know what you’re getting with his fantasy situation. Collins is a bonafide top-10 receiver in football, a lock for 1,000 yards and six touchdowns (assuming health) who is capable of putting up drastically greater numbers. The issue tends to be the man under center. For whatever reason, C.J. Stroud just hasn’t figured out that he needs to feed feeding Collins the way Puka Nacua, Ja’Marr Chase and Amon-Ra St. Brown are targeted. The big-play threat ranked 17th in targets per game last year, and a large reason why he even cracked the top 20 is the three games Stroud missed. So, Collins is available in the third round of drafts because he won’t see top-five WR usage despite arguably possessing those talents. Still, he’s about as good as you’re going to get in a third-round WR1.

Round 4, Pick 47: Travis Etienne Jr., RB, New Orleans Saints
Other top players available: Luther Burden III, Davante Adams, Jaylen Waddle
Alvin Kamara is set to miss the first few weeks of the season with an MCL sprain, putting Etienne in a fantastic spot to carve out the RB1 role many expect him to earn in his first year with the Saints. The former Jaguar was a true bell cow last year, rushing 260 times for 1,107 yards and racking up 36 receptions. The Saints’ offense is expected to take a major step forward this season, and Etienne should be a primary beneficiary of that. Fringe RB1 numbers are a possibility, making him a great value selection in the fourth round.

Similarly to Etienne, we’re getting a player with fringe WR1 production in a mid-round in Waddle. Anytime that opportunity arises after chasing a QB early, you’d be foolish not to take it. Yes, Denver’s receiving room is crowded, but the speedster has separated himself as the clear top guy. He should be in store for a steady diet of targets and production under Sean Payton.

Round 6, Pick 71: DK Metcalf, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
Other top players available: Tucker Kraft, Jadarian Price, Rhamondre Stevenson
I’m not in love with Metcalf’s fantasy outlook with Aaron Rodgers under center in Pittsburgh, but the elite talent is still evident and there should be enough volume to result in WR2 production. If anything, DK should improve on his rapport (and numbers) with Rodgers in Year 2, and the presence of Michael Pittman Jr. may open up more 1-on-1 opportunities for the massive receiver. In the late sixth round, Metcalf is more than worth a flyer.

Round 7, Pick 74: Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots

One of my favorite picks in fantasy drafts at the moment. Stevenson was available three rounds later than TreVeyon Henderson, yet the veteran is poised to be the lead back in New England again this year. Stevenson was stellar down the stretch for the Patriots last season, averaging 4.6 yards per carry, flashing elite receiving and pass pro capabilities while also serving as the goal-line back. All of that should remain the case in 2026. Don’t be fooled by Henderson’s game-breaking abilities, Rhamondre is the RB you want in this offense.

Kittle is aiming to avoid the PUP list and return for Week 1. Whenever he does suit up, he’ll be stepping back into a featured receiving role for Brock Purdy and the Niners. The days of top-three tight end production are over, but Kittle could still put up low-end TE1 with significant TD upside. In Round 8, you can’t ask for much more from this position.

Godwin is slated to retain his trusty WR2 role in one of the NFL’s most receiver-friendly offenses. The veteran’s rapport with Baker Mayfield is seamless as this point. Emeka Egbuka is expected to establish himself as the clear top wideout in this offense, but Godwin will be in line for a consistent target share regardless. He has FLEX/WR3 production written all over him with upside to do much more.

Jones isn’t the elite RB1 he used to be, but the veteran is poised to play a significant role in Minnesota’s offense this season. Jordan Mason will likely eat up a fair share of the rushing attempts, but Jones should be in line for 8-15 touches weekly, most of them coming as a receiver. He’ll be a matchup-dependent RB3/FLEX.

After taking George Kittle as my starter, securing another tight end became a matter of when, not if. I opted for Andrews, who isn’t the most inspiring option, but should remain a key cog in Baltimore’s passing attack. The veteran will particularly provide value in the red zone, where he has scored 22 touchdowns over the last three years. Andrews is a plug-and-play option on a weekly basis.

With my last pick of the draft, I chased more upside in Tyjae Spears. An elite receiving back who will feature heavily in offense that should produce a multitude of young-QB friendly dump downs? Sign me up! If Tony Pollard ever goes down, Spears will immediately enter must-start territory, but he could have weekly RB3/FLEX upside regardless depending on the matchup.

Whenever you head into a fantasy draft with a top-two pick, securing depth is always going to be a concern. I think I put those worries to rest with this mock, drafting four or five players who could be interchangeable in my FLEX spot. We have truly elite talent at QB and RB, and plenty of upside littered within the rest of the roster.
