Tonight’s UFC 330 event features an incredible Main Event as Welterweight Champion Islam Makhachev defends the title against top contender Ian Machado Garry. Makhachev, 34, has won 16 consecutive fights, with his previous six coming in championship fights. Machado Garry is 17-1 with eight finishes and enters this fight on a two-fight winning streak, with his last one coming against former champion Belal Muhammad.

Ian Machado Garry Moneyline (+285)
Machado Garry represents his home country of Ireland and also Brazil, where he now calls home. Since entering the UFC in November 2021, Machado has gone 10-1 in the promotion. Machado Garry’s lone career loss came against undefeated UFC Welterweight Shavat Rakhmonov in December 2024. After that, Machado Garry followed it up with back-to-back impressive wins over No. 2 Carlos Prates and No. 7 Muhammad.
Makhachev has won 16 consecutive fights, which is tied with Anderson Silva for the longest winning streak in UFC history. Also, Makhachev is currently tied at six title wins with eight other fighters: Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Stipe Miocic, Alex Pereira, Tito Ortiz, Zhang Weili, Daniel Cormier, Kamaru Usman and Ronda Rousey. A victory at UFC 330 against Machado Garry would put Makhachev in sole possession of seventh all-time UFC title wins.
Since 2022, Makhachev has won six title fights while becoming a two-division champion. After four defenses of the UFC Lightweight title, Makhachev vacated the title and moved up to 170 pounds. Makhachev ended Jack Della Maddalena’s previous 18-fight winning streak en route to winning the Welterweight title.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Makhachev is a -360 favorite with Macho Garry being a +285 underdog in this contest. The total is 4.5 rounds, with the over being -166 and the under being +130. Makhachev is also +120 to win by decision and +200 by submission. This fight is -150 to go the distance and +110 to end early.
Although the odds suggest this fight may not be close, that isn’t entirely true. Machado Garry presents many problems for the sitting champion and could be his toughest challenge to date. Machado Garry will be a tough test for Makhachev to figure out. Makhachev may struggle to take Machado Garry down and keep him on the ground. If Machado Garry can keep Makhachev at range while unloading leg kicks and punches, he should succeed. Getting Machado Garry at +285 is an excellent play as the Irishman continues to improve his skill set with each fight.
