Since suffering his first career loss in August 2023, Escarrega has won three consecutive fights by knockout or submission. This is Escarrega’s first fight since he scored a first-round knockout against Adriano Nunes in February. Alsaghir enters this fight undefeated and has won his last bout fights by finish in the first two rounds. With 15 finishes between the two fighters in this contest, an exciting bout is likely.
In this fight, Escarrega has the height (5’9″ vs. 5’8″) and reach (74″ vs. 71″) advantage over Alsaghir. Escarrega is a slight -142 favorite with Alsaghir being the underdog at +120 on DraftKings Sportsbook. This contest is -350 not to go the distance and +250 to last the scheduled 15 minutes. The over/under is 1.5 rounds, with the over at -120, and the under is -110.
With Escarrega being the bigger fighter, he should be able to keep Alsaghir at range while displaying his elite power on the feet. Alsaghir does have the edge on the ground, but he has only won one of his last six fights by submission, so it shouldn’t be a big problem for Escarrega.
