What to expect in Season 4 of Ted Lasso
The first episode was excellent and a perfect start to the fourth season. Throughout the first three seasons, we heard about Ted Lasso being from Kansas but didn’t see much of his life in the United States. But that changed in the first episode as it showed Lasso’s life after coaching AFC Richmond, including his new job and family. A surprise occurred when Rebecca Welton, Keeley Jones, and Leslie Higgins showed up at Lasso’s house in Kansas. Seeing them in the United States was highly entertaining television, as they were experiencing culture shock.
Welton came to Kansas to offer Lasso the Head Coach job for the AFC Richmond women’s team. At first, Lasso declined the offer to stay and be with his family. But after receiving approval from his son, Henry, and ex-wife, Lasso changed his mind and accepted it. Although it was brief, seeing a different side of Lasso than we were used to was refreshing and added a positive element to the show. Heading into the second episode, we will see Lasso go back to England and begin his time as the AFC Richmond Head Coach once again.
The second episode is titled “Curiouser and Curiouser!”. The description for the episode on Apple TV states, “Ted returns to Richmond to meet the Lady Greyhounds, but not everyone is glad to see him.” That gives everyone something to think about, including who could disapprove of Lasso’s return. Lasso is coming back in good spirits, but it appears that there could be tension with someone around the team.
