Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 10-Team PPR

Fantasy football draft season is officially underway, so I ran a 10-team PPR mock draft to see what a team could look like when selecting from the No. 3 pick position.

Picking in the top three this year gives you a shot at immediate elite talent, but you have to draft tactfully to build a strong roster around it. Here’s a round-by-round look at my 10-team PPR fantasy football mock draft, including full draft results and how the final roster came together.

Round 1, Pick 3: Ja’Marr Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Other top available players: Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Christian McCaffrey

You really can’t go wrong with any of the top four picks in the draft if they play out like in this mock. If the top two selections go Bijan and Gibbs, that leaves you with a choice between the two most electric receivers in football. I’d rather roll with Chase, who is more durable and has a longer track record of unbelievable production.

Round 2, Pick 18: A.J. Brown, WR, New England Patriots

I typically have a rule that I need to exit the first two rounds in fantasy drafts with at least one running back, but an exception can be made selecting within the top three as you’ll get an early shot in the third round at the turn. In this case, I identified four running backs remaining that I’d be happy selecting with my third rounder, so I played the numbers game and took Brown, which gave me two top-eight fantasy receivers on the squad. I expect Brown to return to truly elite form and challenge for 85-catches and 1,300 yards this year in New England as the focal point of the passing attack.

Round 3, Pick 23: Kenneth Walker III, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

As anticipated, three of the four backs I was content taking with this pick were available at No. 23 overall, and I chased some upside with Walker III over the security of Derrick Henry. I’m extremely excited to see what Walker III can do as the featured back in one of the NFL’s most exciting offenses. The Chiefs will need to rely on him heavily in both the rushing and passing game, setting the stage for potential RB1 production.

Round 4, Pick 38: Javonte Williams, RB, Dallas Cowboys

An RB run left me with fewer options than I’d like to fill out my starting backfield, but I was still very happy selecting Williams. The 26-year-old produced an incredible resurgence as the Cowboys’ lead back in 2025, putting up RB1 numbers. Dallas still projects to boast an elite offense this year, and Williams will remain a focal point within it. His ceiling may be more limited than the likes of Bucky Irving, Breece Hall or Travis Etienne, but his floor is higher than all of them and the upside is certainly there.

I reached slightly compared to what Maye’s ADP is this year, but I wanted to grab the QB-WR stack in what projects to be one of the best offenses in the NFL after selecting A.J. Brown in Round 2. Maye was one of the best fantasy QBs last year and I expect him to remain as such, possessing elite rushing upside to raise his floor. The connection between New England’s gunslinger and WR1 should give me significant weekly upside.

Round 6, Pick 58: D’Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears

Passing on Bhayshul Tuten here may be a choice I regret in hindsight, but I love the balance of high floor and solid upside that Swift brings to the table. Yes, he’ll be in a timeshare with Kyle Monangai, but the veteran still projects to be the lead back and see significant work in the passing game. Chicago’s offense should be extremely productive, putting Swift in position to finish as a top-15 PPR running back again this year. I’ll jump at that value in the sixth round every time.

Throughout camp so far, BTJ has looked like a more polished version of the rookie sensation we saw in 2024, instead of the inconsistent, fantasy frustration who took the field last year. If he can return to form and serve as the true WR1 in this elite offense, he will vastly outperform the value of a sixth-round selection.

Round 8, Pick 78: Sam LaPorta, TE, Detroit Lions

LaPorta is finally healthy and ready to return to the fold as an elite fantasy tight end. He appears poised to play a significant role in one of the best offensive units in football. If that potential becomes a reality, this is an absolute steal in the seventh round. At the very least, LaPorta’s usage should see a decent spike from 2025 and he’ll be a consistent weekly low-range TE1. This was my last chance to secure a tight end who could realistically finish top-five at his position, as the next best available were Dalton Kincaid and Oronde Gadsden II, so I jumped at the opportunity.

Round 9, Pick 83: Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots

TreVeyon Henderson truthers may have to wait another year for the game-breaking back to reach his full potential, as Rhamondre Stevenson is still the lead RB in New England until proven otherwise. Stevenson is a capable three-down back who excels in pass pro and as a receiver, while still possessing early-down bruiser qualities. When he’s not putting the ball on the ground (which was the case down the stretch in the 2025 campaign) he’s one of the better running backs in football. Henderson will cap his upside as they should split the work 60/40, but Stevenson is due for 10-15 touches a game with plenty of goal-line opportunities.

Talk about upside, you can’t find much better than Wan’Dale Robinson in the 10th round. This is a guy who finished as PPR WR14 last year. Yes, he did switch teams and is now working in an offense with multiple talented receivers around him, but I expect the shifty slot WR to lead Tennessee in catches and serve as Cam Ward’s safety blanket. Pure volume alone should put Robinson on the weekly WR3/FLEX radar.

Round 11, Pick 103: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Washington Commanders

Other top available players: Matthew Stafford, Patrick Mahomes, Mark Andrews

Croskey-Merritt has a legitimate chance to establish himself as the lead back in one of the NFL’s stronger offenses this year. The reason he was available in the ninth round is because there’s no guarantee he does it. Rachaad White is an extremely capable veteran who is proficient in pass pro and as a receiver, putting a short leash on Bill’s snap count if he struggles with efficiency or in other areas of the game. All of that said, I like the upside in double-digit rounds of fantasy drafts. At worst, I get an inconsistent bench player, and at best I get a young RB that could work his way into my lineup or be utilized in a trade down the line.

Strange proved himself as a fringe fantasy starter in the 2025 season, and he should continue to carve out a sizable role and strengthen his rapport with Trevor Lawrence this year. He’s the perfect second tight end in drafts, especially if you’re taking your projected starter after the seventh round.

The words that jump out immediately looking at this draft are strong floor and consistency. We have multiple elite talents and plenty of upside, but most of our starters (and a bunch of our bench guys) project to have steady, key roles in their respective offenses. This is a team that could pile up a ton of points when everything is going well, but even during an off week should produce enough to grind out wins.
