Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 12-Team PPR

With fantasy football draft season already underway for some leagues, I ran a 12-team PPR mock draft to see what a team could look like when selecting from the No. 6 pick position.

Picking in the middle of a snake draft this year presents an interesting challenge. Here’s a round-by-round look at my 12-team PPR fantasy football mock draft, including full draft results and how the final roster came together.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft Results: 12-Team PPR

Round 1, Pick 6: Puka Nacua, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Other top available players: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Amon-Ra St. Brown, James Cook

It’s not necessarily common to see Puka Nacua fall to No. 6 in 2026 drafts according to consensus ADPs, but it is certainly possible. In this case, that’s what happened, and I didn’t hesitate to select the second-best receiver in football. Nacua is the focal point of arguably the best offense in the game, and he should step into a somehow even more expanded role this year with Davante Adams continuing to age. I anticipate Adams’ goal-line usage to take a step back, opening to door for an overall WR1 finish for Nacua.

Round 2, Pick 19: Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks

I have a pretty steadfast belief in fantasy football drafts that you need to leave the first two rounds with at least one running back on your roster, and possibly even two. So, while the prospects of A.J Brown, Brock Bowers or Nico Collins were enticing, Kenneth Walker III was always going to be my pick when the board broke the way it did. I’m extremely excited to see what Walker III can do as the featured back in one of the NFL’s most exciting offenses. The Chiefs will need to rely on him heavily in both the rushing and passing game, setting the stage for potential RB1 production. If Barkley and Hampton were still on the board at this pick, I would have taken Walker III over them anyway.

Derrick Henry falling to me would have been icing on the cake to a perfect opening three rounds, but I was happy selecting a true bell cow in a productive offense at this stage in the draft. We’ll see how Jacobs’ legal proceedings play out, but if he’s cleared to play, this is a back with low-end RB1 upside. I’m very content pairing him with Walker III as my set-and-forget backfield.

The upside of Egbuka in a more receiver-friendly offense was quite intriguing, but I ultimately sided in a more secure, proven receiver who will step into a No. 1 receiver role in Smith. The elite route-runner should be a lock for 130+ targets as Jalen Hurts’ undisputed top receiving threat. He may not be an elite TD threat, but there’s a clear path to Smith outperforming his ADP and becoming a low-end WR1.

How could you not jump at the opportunity to draft a guy who apparently thinks he can amass 1,500 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns this season? Obviously, those are extremely lofty goals, but I do think Tuten will emerge as a bell cow of sorts in an extremely fantasy-friendly Jaguars offense. I want as many pieces of that unit as I can get… which you will see more later.

Aaaand here’s another Jaguars player! Throughout camp so far, BTJ has looked like a more polished version of the rookie sensation we saw in 2024, instead of the inconsistent, fantasy frustration who took the field last year. If he can return to form and serve as the true WR1 in this elite offense, he will vastly outperform the value of a sixth-round selection.

Speaking of bouncing back from frustrating campaigns, LaPorta is finally healthy and ready to return to the fold as an elite fantasy tight end. He appears poised to play a significant role in one of the best offensive units in football. If that potential becomes a reality, this is an absolute steal in the seventh round. At the very least, LaPorta’s usage should see a decent spike from 2025 and he’ll be a consistent weekly low-range TE1.

Finally, the Jaguars offensive stack is complete! There are a few teams in the league I’m comfortable actively hunting three-player stacks within: Jacksonville, Buffalo, New England, Cincinnati, Chicago and Dallas. From Weeks 9-18 last season, Trevor Lawrence was THE QB1. Yes, you read that correctly. The former first overall pick was the definition of elite, and there’s no reason to expect drastic regression this year. I love this value in the eighth round, as waiting on QB has allowed me to accumulate more skill position players.

Round 9, Pick 102: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Washington Commanders

Other top available players: Patrick Mahomes, Mark Andrews, Travis Kelce

Croskey-Merritt has a legitimate chance to establish himself as the lead back in one of the NFL’s stronger offenses this year. The reason he was available in the ninth round is because there’s no guarantee he does it. Rachaad White is an extremely capable veteran who is proficient in pass pro and as a receiver, putting a short leash on Bill’s snap count if he struggles with efficiency or in other areas of the game. All of that said, I like the upside at this stage in the draft. At worst, I get an inconsistent bench player, and at best I get a young RB that could work his way into my lineup or be utilized in a trade.

Speaking of upside, I’m a huge fan of this swing in the tenth round. Josh Downs could very well enter the season as Indy’s WR1 with Alec Pierce working his way back from ankle surgery. Even when Pierce does return, with Michael Pittman no longer in the equation, Downs should see a massive uptick in usage. This is a guy who could give you weekly WR2/FLEX production, making him one of the steals of fantasy drafts right now.

I’m continuing the recent trend of chasing upside in later rounds. Brooks has suffered two ACL tears in his right knee, but is seemingly finally healthy and looking dynamic as ever. If that remains the case, he has a shot to overtake Chuba Hubbard as the top RB in Carolina. We’re looking at a committee here no matter what, but Brooks will be labeled a late-round steal by many leading into Week 1.
