After nearly five years, Tom Holland has returned to the big screen as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But while fans have been clamoring to see his next adventure, there is just as much intrigue about what is next for the character and the Marvel Cinematic Universe at large. The MCU has long made a habit of teasing upcoming films and storylines after the movies themselves are over, mostly in the form of post-credit scenes.
Here is a breakdown of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day post-credit scene, as well as whether or not there is a mid-credit scene:

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Post-Credit Scene, Explained
After the credits have rolled – and we do mean all the credits, including the Pascal Pictures and Sony logos – we see the animated interface of the Spidey-Tracker app that Peter’s old friend, Ned, built and showed off during the film. The Spider-Man sighting icon is initially in Manhattan, until the app starts to glitch and says his location is unknown. The map zooms out until the entire Earth is on screen, then it pans over past the moon and into space. A Spider-Man icon pops up in space before the screen cuts to black, then “Spider-Man will return” text.
While it wasn’t a traditional post-credit scene, it did hint towards Spider-Man’s role in the MCU moving forward. The next film in the franchise is Avengers: Doomsday, which comes out in December 2026. After that, Marvel Studios is set to release Avengers: Secret Wars in December 2027. The film are going to include multiversal and cosmic chaos, bringing the Avengers together with the newly-introduced Fantastic Four, as well as the X-Men from the 2000s Fox universe.
Holland was not announced as part of the sprawling ensemble cast for Avengers: Doomsday, where the heroes will team up to fight Doctor Doom – played by Robert Downey Jr. There haven’t been any official cast announcements for Avengers: Secret Wars, though. Holland’s Spider-Man is expected to play a large role in that film, which is based on iconic comic runs from the 1980s and 2010s. In both versions, Marvel heroes and villains alike from across the multiverse were transported to Battleworld – a domain created by the Beyonder in the original and Doctor Doom in the reboot.
Secret Wars was also where Spider-Man’s black suit made its debut. Eventually, he brought that suit back to Earth and learned that he was bonded to the Symbiote, which started to corrupt the friendly neighborhood superhero. The Symbiote later bonded with Eddie Brock and became Venom.
The Spider-Man: Brand New Day post-credit scene insinuates that Peter will be – at the very least – on Battleworld. There’s also good reason to believe that somewhere down the line, we are going to get the Symbiote and Venom too, perhaps in a potential Spider-Man 5.
Does Spider-Man: Brand New Day Have a Mid-Credit Scene?
Marvel made a habit of including multiple stingers through the majority of Phases 2, 3 and 4. That meant one bonus scene at the end of the stylized main credits, then another at the end of the traditional credits crawl. However, there was only one extra scene at the end of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The film did not feature a mid-credit scene, only a post-credit scene. Nothing teasing the X-Men or the further adventures of Jean Grey, who made her MCU debut in Brand New Day. Yelena Belova, who made a cameo in the film, doesn’t come back to set up the Avengers movies she will be starring in.
