- St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs: Cardinals RHP Dustin May 6+ strikeouts: May has recorded 6+ strikeouts in 8 of his last 11 and 3 of his last 4, all while the Cubs lineup strikes out 9.2 times per road game.
MLB Strikeout Prop Bets Breakdown
Logan Webb under 5.5 K (-127), San Francisco Giants vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Webb came in under 5.5 strikeouts in seven of his first 14 starts this season, but has failed to reach that mark in four straight appearances. He is 0-2 with a 7.54 ERA and 5.2 strikeouts per nine innings in July. Even though he lasted 7.0, 6.2 and 6.0 innings in his three most recent starts, he notched just two, five and four strikeouts in those outings. The matchup isn’t working in Webb’s favor, either. Milwaukee’s lineup averages the ninth-fewest strikeouts per game and the seventh-fewest strikeouts per road game in MLB. The Brewers have averaged just 4.3 strikeouts per game over their last three contests, with each of the last five starters they faced coming in under 5.5 punchouts. Webb already faced Milwaukee in June, striking out just four batters during his scoreless, 7.0-inning showing.
Cam Schlittler 8+ K (+100), Chicago White Sox vs. New York Yankees
Schlittler is fresh off a 12-strikeout outing against the Phillies, who average the seventh-most strikeouts per game in MLB. On Wednesday, he is facing a White Sox lineup that averages the sixth-most strikeouts per game in the big leagues. Even going to Rate Field shouldn’t stand in Schlittler’s way, since Chicago still averages the 10th-most strikeouts per home game. Schlittler has posted eight-plus strikeouts in three of his last four and five of his last seven appearances. This bet has hit in seven of the 13 games in which Schlittler has faced at least 23 batters. He has reached that workload in six of his last eight, while Gerrit Cole faced 24 White Sox batters on Tuesday.
Dustin May 6+ K (+111), St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs
After failing to notch six-plus strikeouts in any of his first seven starts of 2026, May is currently riding an 8-for-11 run. He has also achieved the feat in three of his last four nods. Dating back to April 10, the righty has a 3.72 ERA with a 2.92 FIP that suggests he has actually been getting relatively unlucky. Even with May’s ERA climbing to 7.66 since June 21, his 3.65 FIP is still above average. May is 7-for-10 when it comes to tossing at least six strikeouts in games where he faced 24 or more batters. His 8.9 strikeouts per nine innings are a tick above his 8.3 career mark prior to this season. And while he has yet to face the Cubs this season, he does average 9.6 strikeouts per nine innings against the club for his career. Chicago is averaging the 11th-most strikeouts per game, jumping up to the eighth-most when looking exclusively at road performance.
