MLB DFS Picks Today: Top DraftKings Targets, Values for Wednesday 7/29/26

Just 60 days from now, the MLB playoff field will be set, and the trade deadline is only five days away. If crunch time wasn’t already upon us, it is now. These last few games before the deadline will determine how the rest of the season plays out.

For teams — and players — on the bubble, tonight’s slate will be critical. Although every team will take the field tonight, only eight are eligible as part of tonight’s featured MLB DFS contest. I’ll take you through two pitchers, two infielders, and two outfielders I like from those games to help you set your lineups for the contest.

PITCHER

Stud

Cam Schlittler, New York Yankees at Chicago White Sox ($10,800) — Schlittler is the most expensive option on tonight’s slate, but there’s a big drop-off in quality after Joe Ryan ($10,300), and sometimes the simplest option is the best one. He’s simply been the best pitcher in the American League this season, and he’s coming off of a ridiculous 7.1-inning, three-hit, 12-strikeout (42.1-FPT) performance against the Philadelphia Phillies. Schlittler has also been impeccable on the road, with a 1.08 ERA across 13 starts (27.6 FPTS per game), and he has a solid matchup against the White Sox, who rank 19th in OPS since the All-Star break and just 12th in OPS at home.

Value

Brady Singer, Cincinnati Reds vs. Cleveland Guardians ($6,000) — Singer is thought to be on the trade market, since the Reds have fallen out of the playoff picture, and he’ll hit the open market in fine form, as he’s recorded at least 20 FPTS in each of his last three starts, pitching to a 2.57 ERA across that span. He should be a good bet to continue his strong form tonight against the Guardians, who rank dead last in OPS for the season as a whole, and while he ranks in just the ninth percentile in average exit velocity, Cleveland has had the fourth-lowest average exit velocity in baseball this season.

INFIELD

Stud

Jeremy Peña, Houston Astros at Los Angeles Angels ($4,800) — Peña has had a quiet series so far, going just two-for-10 for a total of nine FPTS across the first two games, but across his last 10 games, he’s slashing .439/.465/.829 (13.9 FPTS per game) to help Houston to a 7-3 record. Peña should feast on Angels right-hander Grayson Rodriguez ($5,800), who’s recorded a woeful 8.54 ERA this season and has produced negative FPTS in four of his nine starts. Rodriguez predominantly throws four-seam fastballs to right-handed batters, and Peña has somehow produced a .552 batting average against righty four-seamers.

Value

Connor Wong, Boston Red Sox at Athletics ($2,600) — I’m relying on a pretty small sample size here, but Wong has had a great first two games of the series, hitting a double on Monday for seven FPTS and homering last night in a 16-FPT effort. Location splits can be fickle, but in 26 road games, Wong has posted an .895 OPS and averaged 7.2 FPTS per game. He should have an excellent matchup against Jacob Lopez ($5,500), who’s pitched to a 7.62 ERA at Sutter Health Park. Lopez mostly throws some variety of fastball to right-handed batters, and Wong has put up a .358 batting average against righty fastballs this season.

OUTFIELD

Stud

Randy Arozarena, Seattle Mariners at Los Angeles Dodgers ($4,800) — Arozarena, along with the rest of Seattle’s lineup, has been inconsistent all season, but he had a good series against the Texas Rangers last week, amassing 34 FPTS across two games. His overall season stats have been hurt by the fact that he plays at pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park, but he’s slashed .313/.402/.500 on the road (9.3 FPTS per game), and I’ll back him at hitter-friendly Dodger Stadium. I especially like him against Eric Lauer ($6,500), whose struggles to induce whiffs should mitigate one of Arozarena’s biggest weaknesses and whose eighth-percentile barrel rate could be a problem against one of baseball’s better sluggers.

Value

Michael Conforto, Chicago Cubs at St. Louis Cardinals ($3,300) — Conforto took a seat in Monday’s win over the Cardinals as St. Louis started lefty Matthew Liberatore, but he re-entered the lineup yesterday against righty Michael McGreevy and went two-for-four (eight FPTS). After a miserable 2025 campaign, Conforto has redeemed himself in 2026, recording his highest OPS since 2020. He should have a decent chance of doing damage against another former Dodger in Dustin May ($7,500), who ranks in just the 17th percentile in average exit velocity this season. Conforto’s average exit velocity would rank in the top quintile if he had enough plate appearances to qualify, and he’s posted an .816 xSLG (in a tiny sample size) against the right-handed cutters that May loves to throw.
