“Speedball” Mike Bailey becomes the No. 1 contender for the International Championship at AEW Redemption 2026

7:24 p.m. ET: “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated Jack Perry, The Beast Mortos, Komander, Nick Wayne, and El Clon in the opening match at Redemption. With so many exciting wrestlers, this match had high expectations, and it delivered from start to finish. Bailey has earned an AEW International title match against Kyle Fletcher or Bandido.

As expected, this match was all action from the opening bell. Jack Perry had a quick start, landing a ton of offense early in this contest. The Beast Mortos was the most powerful wrestler in this match, and it was evident from the beginning. In the first few minutes, no competitor attempted to climb a ladder and try to grab the contract, but instead battled each other. Although this was a ladder match, tables were used as well.

Nick Wayne had a phenomenal showing in this match and continues to level up his game each time. Bailey was a massive fan favorite during this contest as he is from Canada.

7:26 p.m. ET: The next contest will be a tag team match between Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley vs. The Young Bucks.

The Young Bucks defeat Will Ospreay & Jon Moxley at AEW Redemption 2026

7:26 p.m. ET: The Young Bucks beat Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley in the second match at Redemption. It appears that another title shot could be in The Young Bucks’ future.

Will Ospreay and Nick Jackson started the match and went at each other right away. The Young Bucks seemed one step ahead early in this contest. When Moxley entered the match, he brought his toughness to break down The Young Bucks. Both teams went back and forth with neither being able to gain the advantage. About 15 minutes into the match, all four competitors were down and out. Ospreay continued to show the more violent side of himself due to Moxley’s guidance. Nick Jackson appeared to be hurt in the middle of the ring, but it didn’t stop Moxley from delivering big strikes. Moxley had a chair in his hands, but Ospreay took it away from him. The Young Bucks hit Moxley with plenty of Superkicks before scoring the pinfall victory.

Up next: Kyle Fletcher vs. Bandido for the AEW International Championship.

Kyle Fletcher defeats Bandido at AEW Redemption 2026

8:24 p.m. ET: Kyle Fletcher defeats Bandido at AEW Redemption. This is Fletcher’s second successful defense of the AEW International Championship. Now Fletcher will defend his title against Mike Bailey in the near future.

Bandido and Kyle Fletcher are two of the most versatile wrestlers in AEW and displayed their elite skills in this contest. In this match, Bandido took the fight to Fletcher, but the Protostar kept fighting back. The size difference between the two was glaring. Both guys pushed each other to the limit, with so many close false finishes throughout the match. As always, Bandido was tough to beat, but Fletcher eventually did enough to pick up the victory.

8:26 p.m. ET: In the next contest, Jay White and Juice Robinson will face The Dogs in a Double Chain Match.

The Dogs defeat The Bang Bang Gang at AEW Redemption 2026

8:51 p.m. ET: The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors) beat The Bang Bang Gang (Jay White and Juice Robinson) in a Double Chain Match at AEW Redemption. This was the fourth match of the PPV card.

Before the bell rang, The Dogs took the fight to the Bang Bang Gang. When the match began, the tide turned as Robinson and White got in a ton of offense of their own. This was a hard-hitting match, and each member of the contest was hurting. 15 minutes into the match, The Dogs had the advantage, but then the Bang Bang Gang bounced back. Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia from the Deathriders came out to help The Dogs before the rest of the Bang Bang Gang appeared. Finlay hit Robinson with the Shillelagh, leading to the win.

8:54 p.m. ET: Hikaru Shida defends the AEW TBS Championship against Maya World in the next match.

Maya World defeats Hikaru Shida at AEW Redemption 2026

9:16 p.m. ET: Maya World defeats Hikaru Shida to win the TBS Championship at AEW Redemption. World is the eighth TBS Champion in AEW history.

Early on, this was an extremely competitive match with both wrestlers finding success. But then Shida took over and began to beat down World. World got back to her feet, and when she had Shida hurt, she couldn’t pick up the finish. After back and forth, World scored the pin to win the title.

9:17 p.m. ET: Christian Cage and Adam Copeland are defending their AEW Tag Team titles against PAC and Claudio Castagnoli in the next match.

Christian Cage & Adam Copeland defeat PAC & Claudio Castagnoli at AEW Redemption 2026

9:40 p.m. ET: Christian Cage and Adam Copeland defeat PAC and Claudio Castagnoli to retain the AEW World Tag Team titles at Redemption. We likely will see Cage and Copeland defend their titles at All In, with The Young Bucks appearing to be potential opponents. This was Cope and Cage’s third successful title defense.

Before the match started, The Death Riders already took the fight to Cage and Cope. After taking a beating during the first few minutes, Copeland finally got back to his feet. Eventually, Cage returned to the ring and helped his team gain momentum. Each time the Death Riders seemed to be closing in on the win, the reigning champions kicked out.

9:43 p.m. ET: After the match, The Young Bucks appeared to confront Copeland and Cage. Then a match graphic appeared on the screen for AEW All In.

9:45 p.m. ET: “The Painmaker” Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa in a No Holds Barred Match is up next.

“The Painmaker” Chris Jericho defeats Tommaso Ciampa at AEW Redemption 2026

10:13 p.m. ET: “The Painmaker” Chris Jericho defeats Tommaso Ciampa in a No Holds Barred Match at Redemption. Ciampa tapped out after Jericho put a drill to his head. Now, Jericho and Ciampa are 1-1 against each other.

Jericho had a bat in his hands while Ciampa had a chair to start the match. Since Jericho brought his “Painmaker” character back for this match, it was expected we would see a more aggressive version of himself, and that is exactly what happened. The animosity between Jericho and Ciampa was visible from the start of the contest.

Ciampa put Jericho through a table while on the apron. Jericho used sandpaper on Ciampa’s head to make him bleed. Then Jericho took out the table with barbed wire on it. The blood continued to pour out of Ciampa. Ciampa used Jericho’s bat to hurt him. Jericho hit Ciampa with a Death Valley Driver through the table with barbed wire. Ciampa put Jericho through a glass mirror, but it still wasn’t enough to score the pinfall. Jericho brought out another glass mirror. Then Jericho hit Ciampa with a Judas effect while wearing a tack-filled armpad.

10:16 p.m. ET: The next match is Mark Davis vs. Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship.

Andrade El Idolo defeats Mark Davis to win the  National Championship at AEW Redemption 2026

10:37 p.m. ET: Andrade El Idolo defeats Mark Davis to win the AEW National Championship at Redemption. This is Andrade’s first championship in AEW. Andrade is the fourth wrestler to win the AEW National Championship.

Andrade went at Davis when this match started. Previously, Andrade was a part of The Don Callis Family, making this match extra personal. Davis’ combination of speed and power for someone his size is extremely impressive. Each time Andrade hurt Davis, the defending champion asserted his dominance.

The crowd was cheering for Andrade during this contest. This is a well-deserved victory for Andrade, who has done an amazing job since returning to AEW.

10:42 p.m. ET: “Speedball” Mike Bailey calls for his title shot against Kyle Fletcher to take place on August 5 at Grand Slam Mexico.

10:43 p.m. ET: The second-to-last match at Redemption is Thekla vs. Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Willow Nightingale wins the Women’s World Championship against Thekla at AEW Redemption 2026

11:07 p.m. ET: Willow Nightingale defeats Thekla at Redemption to win the AEW Women’s World Championship. Now, Nightingale will face Mercedes Moné at All In on August 30. Before this, Nightingale was 0-3 in her previous World title matches. Nightingale is the 12th different wrestler to hold the Women’s World title.

Nightingale was all smiles when making her entrance, but after the bell rang, she brought out a different version of herself. The action shifted outside the ring, where Nightingale continued to beat down Thekla. But then, Thekla began to fight back. Nightingale’s power was a difference-maker in this contest. Thekla used her athleticism and high-flying ability to shift the momentum.

Up next: Kenny Omega vs. Kevin Knight for the AEW World Championship.

Kenny Omega retains the AEW World Championship against Kevin Knight at AEW Redemption 2026

11:43 p.m. ET: Kenny Omega defeats Kevin Knight in the Main Event to retain his AEW World Championship at Redemption. The Main Event of All In at Wembley Stadium is set as Kenny Omega will defend the AEW World Championship against Will Ospreay. This was Omega’s first title defense.

Kevin Knight attacked Kenny Omega when the champion was being introduced. This ignited a fire in Omega, bringing more intensity. Kenny Omega is always a fan favorite, but the crowd was even more on his side since he is Canadian.

Knight’s quickness is among the best in AEW. Over the last few months, Knight has improved a ton and proved that he can compete with the top wrestlers. Omega hit Knight with multiple Snap Dragon Suplexes, and one was on the announce table. Knight then delivered a DDT on Omega out of nowhere. Omega inflicted an enormous amount of pain on Knight, but the challenger kept kicking out. In the end, Omega hit Knight with the One Winged Angel to win the match.

11:50 p.m. ET: The Death Riders came out to beat down Omega, and then The Young Bucks made their way to the ring. Then Ospreay appeared to stop the Death Riders. Ospreay stood up for his friend, Omega, and turned on the Death Riders. But then, Omega turned on Ospreay, delivering a shocking moment to end Redemption.
