Below are my predictions for every announced match at AEW Redemption 2026. I’ll break down each matchup, explain why the result makes sense based on the current storylines, and predict which champions will leave the event with their titles still intact—and which ones could be walking out empty-handed.
Kenny Omega vs. Kevin Knight Prediction
This, in my opinion, will serve two purposes. First, it will make Omega look very strong heading into AEW All In. It will also serve as the test of how Knight performs under the brightest of lights.
It’s no secret that AEW is investing heavily in Knight, as the view him as a future headliner in the company. But, that time to fully pull the trigger isn’t AEW Redemption. The money match is 100% Will Ospreay vs. Kenny Omega at AEW All In and that’s what we’ll get. That being said, this match has the potential to be a show stealer. Omega has proven that he’s recovered from his bout of severe diverticulitis and his in-ring performance shows it. So while this may feel like an obvious winner, the journey we’ll take to get to his victory should be wildly entertaining.

Thekla vs. Willow Nightingale Prediction
I’m enjoying the hell out of Thekla as the AEW Women’s World Champion. This week during the San Diego Comic Con, she signed an autograph in a manner that reminded me of MJF. She’s living her character in and out of the ring. Not to mention, she’s wildly entertaining on commentary as well.
I’m very torn on how this one will play out. It feels a bit unfair that Willow Nightingale forfeited the TBS Championship due to injury, and by the time she came back, we still hadn’t crowned a new champion. Maybe that was always the plan? I don’t know, but regardless, it feels as if she was cheated of a title reign.
These two have been involved in 10 (!) total matches in AEW but this will be only the second time that they’ve faced off one-on-one. In that match, Thekla defeated Willow on an episode of Collision. I’m leaning toward Thekla retaining her title here but my confidence is fairly low.

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. Claudio Castagnoli & PAC Prediction
The Dogs and The Death Riders have been working together and involved with Cage & Cope since Forbidden Door. Now, Cage & Cope will defend their titles against Castagnoli and PAC here at AEW Redemption.
The nostalgia run for Cage & Cope won’t end at Redemption. I’m a big proponent of PAC & Claudio, personally, but the timing isn’t right. Cage & Cope should absolutely head into All In as tag team champions for what will likely be for a much bigger match (maybe against some soon to be free agents?). I do expect this to be a chaotic match because Cope and Christian can still go.

Mark Davis vs. Andrade El Idolo Prediction
It is time for Andrade to earn his first title in AEW.
I was pleasantly surprised when Davis defeated Jack Perry for the National Championship at Fairway to Hell (which was such a great show). The only issue is, it probably feels like Davis has done nothing with the title. While some may feel that way, in true National Championship style, Davis has been defending it, just not on AEW television. This will be his eighth title defense but all but one have come off AEW shows. Davis has defended it on Ring of Honor and RevPro over the past few months. His only AEW defense was a victory against Speedball on Collision earlier this month.
As for Andrade, he’s been nearly perfect in 2026. He’s 12-2 in singles competition, with his only losses coming against Hangman Adam Page and Darby Allin. Since his loss to Allin, Andrade hasn’t lost a single match since the beginning of May. I think he continues to streak at Redemption and becomes the new AEW National Champion.

Kyle Fletcher vs. Bandido Prediction
I am incredibly excited for Kyle Fletcher vs. Bandido. These two have battled numerous times throughout the years but never in singles competition. They’ve been in seven tag matches together through their time in AEW and getting them one-on-one will be a real treat. After the outstanding match Fletcher and Kommander had on Dynamite two weeks ago, this one has a legitimate chance to top it.
This will be Fletcher’s second title defense of the AEW International Championship after shockingly defeating Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Dynamite: Beach Break. Bandido is still the Ring of Honor World Champion but is still looking to capture his first singles championship in AEW. I fully expect Fletcher to head into All In as champion, so I’m giving the nod to him retaining in what will likely be one of the best matches of the night.

Final AEW Redemption Predictions
While AEW Redemption may not carry the same level of anticipation as AEW All In or AEW Revolution, it’s an important stop on the road to Wembley Stadium. I expect several excellent in-ring performances, particularly from Kenny Omega vs. Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher vs. Bandido, while Andrade appears poised to capture his first championship since returning to AEW.
