An intriguing fight on today’s UFC Fight Night Prelims is a Lightweight bout between Ismael Bonfim and Axel Sola. Sola is 11-1-1 with seven finishes, while Bonfim’s record stands at 20-6 with 13 finishes. Both fighters are attempting to get back in the win column as Bonfim is trying to snap a two-fight losing streak while Sola is coming off his first career loss.

Over 2.5 Rounds (-110)
From June 2015 to January 2023, Bonfim won 13 consecutive fights with eight finishes in that span. Since then, he has gone 1-3 in his previous four UFC contests. In 2025, Bonfim lost to Chris Padilla and Nazim Sadykhov by knockout. His last win came in May 2023 at UFC 301 against Vinc Pichel. Before his next fight, Bonfim said he took his preparation up a level ahead of his fight with Sola. Axel Sola is coming off his first career loss to Mason Jones in March. Before that, Sola knocked out Rhys McKee in his UFC debut in September 2025.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Sola is a -192 favorite with Bonfim being the underdog at +160. The over/under is set at 2.5 rounds, with the under being -120. Sola is also +120 to score a finish, while Bonfim is +350 to pick up the victory by submission or knockout.
Four of Bonfim’s last five wins have come in fights that went over 2.5 rounds. Also, Sola’s last three fights have gone at least three rounds. With that being the case, I’m taking this fight to go over 2.5 rounds, which is -110. Bonfim is the better striker as he lands more significant strikes per minute (5.51 vs. 4.07), but Sola averages more takedowns per 15 minutes (2.22 vs. 1.06). Both fighters are coming off a loss and will most likely enter this contest slowly, and it could take both some time to get going.
