Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Simon Zachenhuber round-by-round updates

Result: Hamzah Sheeraz defeats Simon Zachenhuber by majority decision (114-114, 115-113, 116-112).

5:12 p.m. ET: Round 1

As expected, Sheeraz is much bigger than Zachenhuber, which allowed him to walk him down. With that said, Zachenhuber landed the more effective punches in the first round.

10-9 Zachenhuber

5:15 p.m. ET: Round 2

Sheeraz landed more often in the second round and was trying to find his rhythm. Oftentimes, Sheeraz feels out his opponent before unloading big power punches.

10-9 Sheeraz, 19-19

5:20 p.m. ET: Round 3

Both fighters traded punches, but Sheeraz’s seemed more effective due to his power advantage. Sheeraz appears close to landing a game-changing punch.

10-9 Sheeraz, 29-28 Sheeraz

5:23 p.m. ET: Round 4

10-9 Sheeraz, 39-37 Sheeraz

5:27 p.m. ET: Round 5

Zachenhuber threw more punches in the fifth, but they didn’t have enough power to affect Sheeraz. Each time Zachenhuber lands a punch, Sheeraz continues to walk forward.

10-9 Sheeraz, 49-46 Sheeraz

5:32 p.m. ET: Round 6

Each time Zachenhuber went on an offensive attack, Sheeraz put his hands all the way up before delivering punches of his own. This was another round in favor of the champion.

10-9 Sheeraz, 59-55 Sheeraz

5:36 p.m. ET: Round 7

Zachenhuber landed a few punches but didn’t do enough to win the round. Sheeraz is still in full control of this fight.

10-9 Sheeraz, 69-64 Sheeraz

5:40 p.m. ET: Round 8

Sheeraz’s output has decreased in the last two rounds. Zachenhuber won the eighth round as he was more aggressive.

10-9 Zachenhuber, 78-74 Sheeraz

5:44 p.m. ET: Round 9

Sheeraz connected with a nice uppercut, which appeared to hurt Zachenhuber. The champion bounced back and was more active in the ninth.

10-9 Sheeraz, 88-83 Sheeraz

5:48 p.m. ET: Round 10

Zachenhuber didn’t throw a ton of punches in the 10th round. This round wasn’t Sheeraz’s best, but he did slightly more than Zachenhuber. We now move on to the championship rounds.

10-9 Sheeraz, 98-92 Sheeraz

5:52 p.m. ET: Round 11

Sheeraz seems fresh but hasn’t been as aggressive as usual. The reigning champion appears content to win this fight by decision right now.

10-9 Sheeraz, 108-101 Sheeraz

5:56 p.m. ET: Round 12

When Sheeraz landed, he failed to follow it up with more offense. I’m giving this round to Zachenhuber as he landed the more effective punches in the final round.

10-9 Zachenhuber, 117-111 Sheeraz

6:01 p.m. ET: Hamzah Sheeraz defeats Simon Zachenhuber by majority decision (114-114, 115-113, 116-112)

Hamzah Sheeraz has retained his WBO Super Middleweight title after beating Simon Zachenhuber by majority decision (114-114, 115-113, 116-112). This is Sheeraz’s first WBO title defense since winning the title. Also, this is Sheeraz’s first win by decision since December 2018.

Sheeraz has now won three straight fights since his draw against Carlos Adames in February 2025. Sheeraz totaled 112 punches compared to Zachenhuber’s 96. Also, Sheeraz recorded 97 power punches at a 42.4 percent rate.

Josh Kelly vs. Caoimhin Agyarko round-by-round updates

Result: Josh Kelly defeats Caoimhin Agyarko by unanimous decision (114-113, 115-112, 115-112).

3:45 p.m. ET: Round 1

Kelly and Agyarko both had a slow start, but the defending champion landed the more effective punches in the first round. In this round, Kelly also displayed his elite defense.

10-9 Kelly

3:49 p.m. ET: Round 2

Agyarko seemed to be overreacting to each one of Kelly’s punches. Kelly is gaining confidence and is doing a good job of disrupting Agyarko’s rhythm.

10-9, 20-18 Kelly

3:54 p.m. ET: Round 3

Early in the third round, Agyarko moved forward and landed a nice combination. Kelly responded with multiple big punches. Agyarko had a higher output in this round and was more aggressive.

10-9 Agyarko, 29-28 Kelly

3:58 p.m. ET: Round 4

Kelly showed his elite hand speed in the fourth round. Every time Agyarko landed, Kelly delivered offense of his own. I give the edge to Kelly in this round.

10-9 Kelly, 39-37 Kelly

4:01 p.m. ET: Round 5

Kelly pressured Agyarko and began to unload a flurry of punches. Both fighters have continued to level up their game the longer the fight has lasted. This was a clear round in favor of Kelly.

10-9 Kelly, 49-46 Kelly

4:06 p.m. ET: Round 6

Agyarko found some success landing punches on Kelly in the clinch. But Kelly is still the more aggressive fighter. Agyarko is being too passive to win another round. Kelly hit Agyarko in the back of the head, which caused the referee to take a point away from Kelly.

9-9, 58-55 Kelly

4:10 p.m. ET: Round 7

Agyarko found success at the start of the seventh round, causing Kelly to bleed from his eye. Agyarko won this round as he was the aggressor and landed much more effective punches than Kelly did.

10-9 Agyarko, 67-65 Agyarko

4:13 p.m. ET: Round 8

The roles have reversed from the first half of the fight, as Kelly is the passive one while Agyarko pushes the pace. Agyarko landed a few nice body shots in the eighth.

10-9 Agyarko, 76-75 Kelly

4:18 p.m. ET: Round 9

Agyarko connected on multiple significant punches and is in a flow state right now. With less than a minute left, both fighters traded big punches. This was an extremely close round, but I’m giving it to Kelly.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Kelly is now a -250 favorite with Agyarko being a +190 underdog. Agyarko was +370 before the contest.

10-9 Kelly, 86-84 Kelly

4:22 p.m. ET: Round 10

Entering the 10th round, Kelly’s nose appears to be busted open. Even though Kelly is wearing the damage on his face, he is showing a massive amount of toughness and grit while landing a ton of big shots. Six minutes remain as we enter the championship rounds.

10-9 Kelly, 96-93 Kelly

4:26 p.m. ET: Round 11

Kelly landed a big combination at the start of the 11th round. A headbutt caused a brief stoppage in the action. Agyarko had some positive moments but didn’t do enough to win this round.

10-9 Kelly, 106-102 Kelly

4:30 p.m. ET: Round 12

Both fighters left it all out there, giving everything they had in the final round. Agyarko made this a much more competitive fight than expected, but he didn’t maintain a high enough output throughout the contest.

10-9 Kelly, 116-111 Kelly

4:37 p.m. ET: Josh Kelly defeats Caoimhin Agyarko by unanimous decision (114-113, 115-112, 115-112)

Josh Kelly has successfully defended his IBF Super Welterweight title against Caoimhin Agyarko. Kelly won this fight by unanimous decision. After this victory, Kelly moves to 19-1-1 in his career and has now won his ninth consecutive contest. Agyarko started his boxing career 18-0, and this is the first loss of his professional career.

Kelly finished with 97 total punches, 10 more than Agyarko, according to CompuBox. Kelly also recorded 70 power punches compared to Agyarko’s 56.
