8:02 p.m. ET: The opening match will be El Sky Team vs. Young Bucks vs. Unbound Co. in a Three-Way Tag Team Match.
The Young Bucks defeat El Sky Team & Unbound Co. at AEW Forbidden Door 2026
8:26 p.m. ET: The Young Bucks defeated El Sky Team (Místico and Máscara Dorada) & Unbound Co. (Shingo Takagi and Titan) in the opening match at Forbidden Door. This was an excellent opening match, as all three teams displayed their elite skill sets. AEW picks up its first victory against CMLL and NJPW.
From the start, this was a fast-paced match. The Young Bucks’ chemistry stood out in the first few minutes, as their cohesion was a level above the other teams’. This match delivered everything and more that someone could have wanted to see. With it being a three-way match, each time one team seemed to be closing in on victory, someone else interrupted. In the end, The Young Bucks did enough to score the pinfall win. The Young Bucks picked up the victory in their home state of California.
8:28 p.m. ET: The next contest will be a singles match between Kenny Omega vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
Kenny Omega defeats Zack Sabre Jr. at AEW Forbidden Door 2026
8:58 p.m. ET: Kenny Omega defeated Zack Sabre Jr. at Forbidden Door. Omega is now 2-0 against Sabre Jr. in singles competition. After this win, Omega will likely continue to work towards another AEW World title opportunity. This was the second match between the two and the first since they faced off in the NJPW G1 Climax in August 2018.
This was a technical wrestling masterpiece between two of the world’s greatest wrestlers. After the first few minutes, Omega and Sabre Jr. took the action outside the ring. Even though this was a regular singles match, the referee didn’t enforce the normal count. Omega had a power advantage and displayed it throughout the match. Both wrestlers went toe-to-toe, exchanging moves as they struggled to gain the upper hand at times. Sabre has a unique skill set that few in professional wrestling possess. The crowd was heavily behind Omega during this match. In the end, Omega hit Sabre with a One-Winged Angel to finally defeat him. Omega moves to 2-1 at Forbidden Door.
8:59 p.m. ET: The next match will be for the AEW Continental Championship, with Jon Moxley defending against Bandido.
Jon Moxley Retains AEW Continental Championship at AEW Forbidden Door 2026
9:23 p.m. ET: Jon Moxley retained his AEW Continental Championship against Bandido at Forbidden Door. This was the first singles match between Moxley and Bandido. Moxley has successfully defended the Continental Championship in the previous four AEW PPVs.
Moxley brought his power and technical ability, while Bandido displayed his elite athleticism and dynamic style. Moxley busted open Bandido and then started ripping his mask off. As always, Moxley showed that he is willing to go to extreme lengths to pick up the victory. Bandido didn’t stay down as he kept fighting and working his way back in the match. Even though Bandido isn’t as tall as Moxley, he is still one of the most powerful pound-for-pound wrestlers in AEW. Moxley grew more frustrated each time he tried to score a pinfall win after using a finisher. In every big match, Bandido somehow continues to add new moves to his arsenal.
9:24 p.m. ET: In the next match, Shota Umino is defending the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship against PAC.
Shota Umino Retains IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship at AEW Forbidden Door 2026
9:49 p.m. ET: Shota Umino retained the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship at Forbidden Door against PAC. Umino won this title last week against Andrade El Idolo and Drilla Moloney.
PAC immediately brought the fight to Umino outside the ring. This match was a slugfest with both unloading plenty of heavy strikes. PAC hit Umino with a belly-to-belly from the top rope, which was impressive. In the first 10 minutes, PAC was getting the better of Umino. PAC’s combination of power and speed is unbelievable. With powerful elbows, Umino knocked down PAC. A new fire ignited inside Umino the longer the match lasted.
9:50 p.m. ET: Hiroshi Tanahashi made a surprise appearance at Forbidden Door after Shota Umino successfully defended his title.
9:54 p.m. ET: In the next match, Thekla is defending her AEW Women’s World Championship against Starlight Kid.
Thekla Retains AEW Women’s Championship at AEW Forbidden Door 2026
10:18 p.m. ET: Thekla defeated Starlight Kid to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door. This is Thekla’s seventh successful title defense. Thekla has held the AEW Women’s World Championship for over 130 days.
From the beginning of this match, Thekla used her hard-hitting style to break down Starlight Kid. Thekla’s tremulous confidence was on display early in this contest. Starlight Kid showed her resilience as she endured immense pain but kept fighting back. The challenger gained an advantage and had the champion hurting after landing on the apron. There were so many false finishes as both wrestlers were so close to winning the match. Two Stomps for Thekla were enough for her to retain the title. After the match, Thekla took off Starlight Kids’ mask.
10:20 p.m. ET: Cage & Cope defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against The Dogs in the next match at Forbidden Door.
10:43 p.m. ET: 16 minutes into the match, Jay White made his long-awaited return to take out David Finlay!
Cage & Cope Retain AEW World Tag Team Championship at AEW Forbidden Door 2026
10:45 p.m. ET: Adam Copeland and Christian Cage retained the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Forbidden Door against The Dogs. This is Cope and Cage’s second title defense since becoming Tag Team Champions at Double or Nothing.
Clark Connors began to beat down Christian Cage at the start of this match. Adam Copeland entered the match and gained momentum against David Finlay. Even though Cope and Cage haven’t teamed together a ton since reuniting, their chemistry was still there. Connors was targeting Cage’s wrist, which was previously hurt.
Even though there was a wide gap in experience, the Dogs were confident and found plenty of success early on. Copeland was the difference maker for his team in this contest. 15 minutes into the match, all four competitors were down, with the referee being out as well.
10:47 p.m. ET: The next match is the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Final between Mercedes Moné vs. Maya World.
Mercedes Moné Wins Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Final at AEW Forbidden Door 2026
11:18 p.m. ET: Mercedes Moné defeated Maya World to win the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Final at Forbidden Door. Since making her return, Moné is 4-0 overall and 3-0 in singles competition. It appears that we will see Thekla vs. Mercedes Moné at All In for the AEW Women’s World title. This is the second consecutive year that Moné has won the Owen Hart Tournament.
Mercedes Moné had a major edge in experience in this contest, and it showed early in the match. World displayed elite potential in this match, and she definitely has a bright future. We saw World take the veteran Moné to her limit. A chant began from the audience: “Let’s go, Maya, CEO.” World landed a brutal Powerbomb on the floor outside the ring.
11:19 p.m. ET: In the second-to-last match at Forbidden Door, MJF and The Don Callis Family are facing The Conglomeration, Darby Allin, and Konosuke Takeshita in a Steel Cage Match.
The Conglomeration, Darby Allin, & Konosuke Takeshita win the Steel Cage Match at AEW Forbidden Door 2026
12:01 a.m. ET: The Conglomeration, Darby Allin, & Konosuke Takeshita defeated MJF and The Don Callis Family to win the Steel Cage Match at Forbidden Door. Now, Briscoe has earned himself a future AEW World Championship match with MJF. This match was an all-out war from start to finish and lived up to expectations.
This match had a massive unique Steel Cage. As expected, chaos began the moment the bell rang. Team DCMJF was the first group to gain the upper hand in this contest. MJF and Andrade started arguing during this match, which was anticipated. Kyle O’Reilly brought out a Nintendo NES to beat up Kyle Fletcher. Mark Briscoe set up tacks, but Fletcher ended up throwing him on them. MJF and Darby Allin faced off one-on-one in this match, as the two still hate each other.
Takeshita and Okada met in the center of the ring and traded big strikes. Then Takeshita went toe-to-toe with another former teammate, Fletcher. Kevin Knight delivered a devastating kick through a chair on Darby Allin. MJF got back in the ring and targeted Briscoe, making him bleed. Okada opened up a bag, and Lio Rush appeared. Rush assisted Team Briscoe. Then, Jake Doyle put him back in the hockey bag. Over 20 minutes into the match, everyone was down and out except for the two people this match was built around: MJF and Mark Briscoe.
Kevin Knight and Darby Allin climbed to the top of the cage. Knight fell, and then Allin hit a Coffin Drop. Andrade hit MJF and then turned on Doyle as well. After 31 minutes of action, Briscoe hit Doyle with a Jay Driller to score the pinfall.
12:04 a.m. ET: Mark Briscoe says in a backstage interview that he wants his AEW World Championship match with MJF on Dynamite this Wednesday.
12:05 a.m. ET: It is Main Event time! Swerve Strickland battles Will Ospreay in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Final. The winner of this match earns an AEW World Championship match at All In.
Will Ospreay Wins Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Final at AEW Forbidden Door 2026
12:51 a.m. ET: Will Ospreay defeated Swerve Strickland in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Final at AEW Forbidden Door 2026. Ospreay has finally done it! He will headline All In at Wembley Stadium, which was a lifelong goal of his. Ospreay is now one win away from reaching the mountaintop and becoming AEW World Champion. This was the third singles match between Ospreay and Strickland, and they delivered another unforgettable match.
Although no championship was on the line, this felt like a big match, and it was evident what a win would mean to both competitors. Ospreay and Strickland have amazing chemistry as partners and opponents. Ospreay still displays his tremendous high-flying ability, but does so with much more poise than usual after learning from Moxley. Strickland was talking trash during the match, which fired up Ospreay and made him more aggressive.
Prince Nana got involved when the referee wasn’t looking. 14 minutes into the match, Ospreay’s face was covered in blood. Strickland calls himself the most dangerous man in AEW, and he proved why that is true in this match. Ospreay’s ability to counter when it seems least possible is amazing. Outside the ring, Ospreay threw Strickland headfirst into the steel steps, busting him open. Ospreay hit Strickland with a Styles Clash onto the announce table. Strickland landed a House Call and Ospreay connected on a Hidden Blade, but both kicked out at one. At the 30-minute mark, “Fight forever” chants reigned throughout the SAP Center. Strickland landed a low blow, but the referee didn’t see it. Jon Moxley and The Death Riders appeared at ringside.
