Tonight’s PFL event in Austin, Texas, is being headlined by their first Interim Championship fight between Johnny Eblen vs. Impa Kasanganay. Originally, Johnny Eblen was slated to challenge Costello van Steenis for the PFL Middleweight title, but the current champion got injured, which caused Kasanganay to step up. Eblen and Kasanganay first fought in February 2024, where Eblen won by split decision.

Over 3.5 Rounds (-160)
In July 2025, Eblen suffered his first career loss against Costello van Steenis. After that, Eblen came back and scored a first-round submission against Bryan Battle. Eblen enters this contest with a 17-1 record and eight wins by submission or knockout. Kasanganay lost two consecutive contests by knockout from November 2024 to April 2025. Then Kasanganay followed that up with two straight knockouts of his own, and last beat Dalton Rosta in March. Since their first fight, Eblen has gone 2-1, while Kasanganay is 5-2 in that span.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Eblen is a massive -660 favorite, with Kasanganay being a +420 underdog in this contest. The over/under is set at 3.5 rounds, with the over being -160 and the under being +124. Eblen is two inches taller (6’1″ vs. 5’11”), with Kasanganay having a slight reach advantage (75″ vs. 74″).
Eblen’s last two five-round fights have gone the distance. Also, four of Eblen’s last five five-round fights went over 3.5 rounds. Even though Kasanganay is coming off two early finishes, it is unlikely he will see one against Eblen, as he is very good defensively. With that said, I’m taking this fight to go over 3.5 rounds at -160.
