The first fight on the UFC 329 Prelims is a Featherweight contest between Luke Riley and Kai Kamaka III. Kamaka is 18-7-1 with four finishes, while Riley is 13-0 with nine knockouts. The Prelims for this event begin at 7:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.
Check out my best bet below for Luke Riley vs. Kai Kamaka III at UFC 329.
Luke Riley To Win By KO/TKO/DQ (+225)
Riley is a friend and training partner of Paddy Pimblett, who is fighting Benoit Saint Denis in the co-main event of this card. Pimblett and Riley both train at Next Generation UK in Liverpool. Riley is also 2-0 in the UFC, with wins over Bogdan Grad and Michael Aswell.
Kamaka also comes from an elite gym, training with Eric Nicksick at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas. He is currently in his second stint in the UFC and beat Dakota Hope by split decision in his first fight back in the promotion in April. Kamaka is 4-1 in his previous five contests. Both fighters have a 69″ standing reach, with Riley being two inches taller (5’9″ vs. 5’7″).
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Riley is a -218 favorite with Kamaka being a +180 underdog in this contest. This fight is -175 to go the distance and +130 to not last the scheduled 15 minutes. Riley is also +130 to win by decision and +225 to score a knockout. I think Riley’s power gives him the edge in this contest. Riley has won three of his last four fights by knockout and should have even more motivation to deliver a standout performance, since he’s on the same card as Pimblett.
